De Merlet C2 Cassis & Cognac Likeur wordt gemaakt uit natuurlijke infusies van zwarte bessen en cognac. De druiven en bessen worden op eigen grond verbouwd. Hierdoor kan de kwaliteit worden gewaarborgd en is dit product dus volledig van krop tot fles zelf gemaakt. Om het eindproduct te verkrijgen wordt een klein beetje suiker toegevoegd.

Deze Franse Likeur heeft een krachtige en fruitige smaak en een mooie balans tussen de bessen en cognac. De afdronk heeft tonen van Madeira en bessenjam.

In 1850 werd de distilleerderij van Merlet & Fils opgericht door Firmin Merlet. Vijf generaties en 170 jaar verder, wordt het bedrijf nog steeds door de familie gerund. Voor het grootste gedeelte van de familiegeschiedenis werd er cognac geproduceerd voor andere cognachuizen. Maar na meer dan 160 jaar voor anderen te hebben gedistilleerd, besloot de familie uiteindelijk om onder hun eigen naam cognac te gaan produceren. Tegenwoordig bezit het bedrijf ongeveer veertig hectare wijnstokken in Fins Bois en Borderies. Ze werken samen met verschillende wijnboeren om wijnen en ‘’eau de vigne’’ uit andere ‘crus’ te halen.

De Merlet C2 Cassis & Cognac Likeur is heerlijk als longdrink voor een aperitief of met ijs als digestief.

Given myself a couple weeks of consistent use before giving a review. There are a lot of pros to this product which include: moisturizing and stays moisturized all day, made my PIE marks (post acne marks) fade a lot faster. Repairs my skin barrier, especially while using tretinoin nightly, not too thick but thick enough to keep my face hydrated. It does not have a smell. The cons are: slight burn for about 15 seconds but disappears, it pills if I apply too much. It does pill less if I pat it on my face versus rubbing; it does not pill when I apply liquid foundation. I just have to let it dry for 15-20 mins before applying makeup. I found the pros to overpower the cons and will continue to use this product.
