Brenne is een Franse single malt-whisky die in 2012 werd uitgebracht door oprichter Alisson Parc. Het wordt samen met een derde generatie cognacproducent in zijn familie distilleerderij in het hart van de Cognac regio van de grondstof graan tot het eindproduct in de fles gemaakt. Het doel van de whisky was en is nog steeds om te laten zien dat ‘terroir’ mogelijk is bij het maken van een single malt whisky. De eerste batch flessen die werd uitgebracht, werd op de fiets door Manhattan, New York, afgeleverd. Nadat alle whisky in slechts twee maanden was verkocht, werd de distributie uitgebreid naar 35 Amerikaanse staten en Frankrijk. Tegenwoordig wordt Brenne over de hele wereld verkocht en je kunt het in veel bars vinden.

Voor de productie van de Brenne whisky worden twee soorten gerst gebruikt die lokaal rond de distilleerderij groeien. Tijdens het fermentatieproces wordt een gist toegevoegd die al generaties lang in de familie van de distilleerder wordt gebruikt. De whisky wordt twee keer gedistilleerd in Alembic Charente-ketels, dit zijn dezelfde die worden gebruikt voor het maken van cognac. Door dit soort ketels te gebruiken in plaats van een klassieke ‘’pot stills’’, krijgt de whisky een meer fruitige en bloemige smaak. Voor de rijping van de whisky wordt zowel nieuw Frans eiken uit het Limousin-bos als cognacvaten gebruikt. Na het rijpen is de laatste stap voor dat je van de whisky kunt genieten het vermengen met water, hiervoor wordt water uit de lokale Charente rivier gebruikt.

Het aroma en de smaak zijn het best te omschrijven als fruitig en bloemig. Appel, peer en zelfs een beetje citroen worden gemengd met kamille, butterscotch en wat lichte kruiden. De afdronk is daarentegen vrij zacht en licht romig.

These R50 Studio Monitors are worth every penny. One could easily spend a heck of a lot more to get less. Have been a pro audio engineer my entire life. These monitors kick out clean, solid bass and accurate highs. Klipsch did a excellent job designing these monitors. Perfect for smail spaces where fidelity is critical. If you wall mount these, make sure you leave at least a 1.5 inch air gap between the back of the monitor and the wall. These units are sweet.

THE BEST SPEAKERS

These speakers are the best sounding bookshelf speakers i ever saw or heard. The sound from them is clear even from a cheap crosley suitcase record player and the bass is just awesome because you can actually hear it and it ties my songs together when i can actually hear the baseline. They work extremely well independent of a separate subwoofer because the bass is very strong! Another point of praise is that the decibel count is very high at 93 which means on very low power they perform loudly. Even on low volume from my Aiyima A07 Premium amplifier, they can be heard throughout my house. They look so cool and appear to be very high quality build and strength. They can be used for whatever you want (provided your amp is compliant) they're super easy to set up because all you do you just attach the sticky rubber feet on the bottoms and the grilles are magnetic for whatever aesthetics youre going for. Definitely worth the money (i bought them on sale for $230) very top notch speakers!

Very good speakers

The r51ms are used to compliment my klipsch rp500m speakers and a 12 inch subwoofer in a large living room. By placing the r51m speakers to the outside walls , and the rp500m speakers to the interior, closer to the amplifier, and with the subwoofer set on deep bass only at just enough volume to barely compliment the sound, the large living room is more than sufficiently covered with at least true high fi quality sound, if not true budget audiophile sound. My entire 2.1 system is all klipsch. That's how I want it. I am using them with a high powered tube amplifier, so presence and clarity is awesome. Placement is critical. I was initially disappointed until I switched the r51ms to the spread to the outside walls position, and the rp500ms to the interior, closer to the amplifier. The difference was remarkable. The 2 different klipsch speakers, ie one a rp and the other a r series blend together perfectly with no clash whatsoever because of somewhat more refined sound on the rp500m speakers. The rp500m speakers do sound higher end , but they are supposed to, but with the speakers as outer r51m and inner rp500m, and the klipsch subwoofer at deep bass with just a touch of volume the result is sound of such quality that I can honestly say I can be content and satisfied with it. I can say my system is complete, and no further improvement, upgrades are needed. Tower speakers as primaries are not necessary because of the high quality of sound and the high sensitivity of the 4 klipsch bookshelf speakers and klipsch subwoofer. This saves me money during this rapid inflation period of time. I could easily say that what I have sounds more than good enough to be satisfied and content with without any desire to upgrade further at this point. Shipping speed was excellent via Amazon itself, and the box and speakers arrived in handled with care and new condition. I am not disappointed at all now that the r51m speakers are the outside speakers, spread apart from corner wall to wall to compliment the interior placements of my rp500m speakers by klipsch. Im all klipsch here and I love it. 5 stars categorically. As previously stated, I see no need for primary tower speakers, even in a large living room, and that equals high quality sound and savings of money at the same time. I recommend these speakers. They do more than just do sound quality wise.
