Yel-Lux from Oropharma is a supplement to your birds' diet. It is a natural yellow dye and enhances the yellow colour of the feathers. Feathers absorb colour when they are formed. Until a new feather is formed, the formed feather retains its colour. The plumage of birds is changed on average once a year.

Administration and dosage

Yel-Lux is not water soluble and you must mix it with the food. You can use 1 level measuring spoon (1 gram) per 100 grams of egg food. If your bird already has a strong yellow colouring or if the food offered is already rich in colourings (rapeseed, fresh egg yolk) you only need to use half the dosage from the age of 2 weeks (1 gram per 200 grams of egg food).

During breeding: feed daily from 2 weeks before laying the first egg until after the moult.

During moulting: feed daily during the entire period

Exhibition birds: feed daily throughout the exhibition season.
