Een hackamore werkt indirect via teugelhulpen door middel van hefboomwerking op de neusrug van het paard. De scharen zijn bevestigd aan de bakstukken van het hoofdstel, terwijl de neusriem en de kinriem of ketting in lijn met de scharen zijn bevestigd. Afhankelijk van het ontwerp en de lengte van de scharen kan de teugelverbinding en de resulterende werking variëren. De grote verscheidenheid aan scharen maakt een individueel verstelbaar drukniveau mogelijk.Bij een hackamore wordt de naar achteren gerichte druk op de neus beïnvloed door hefboomwerking. Wanneer de teugels worden aangetrokken, creëert de rotatie van de scharen extra neerwaartse druk op de kin en het achterhoofd. De ruiter moet de teugels gelijkmatig en gecontroleerd aantrekken om het gewenste drukniveau en de gewenste reactie te bereiken. De mate van werking hangt af van het ontwerp en het type scharen, evenals van de hand van de ruiter.
Het gebruik van een hackamore-hoofdstel, vooral met langere scharen en dus een sterkere hefboomwerking, vereist een ervaren ruiter. Alleen een ervaren ruiter is in staat de hulpen correct te doseren en in balans te brengen op basis van de reactie van het paard op de gecombineerde druk op de neus, kin en het achterhoofd.

Super comfy, but side strap is a bit annoying

Honest review of these shoes that I just wore to a wedding. They are SO comfortable, I wore them all night and didn't need to take them off. The only issue is that since the one strap just goes along the one side of the top of your foot, I did feel like it kind of pushed the shoe to the side. It's hard to describe, but when I was walking sometimes I could feel my food shifting off my shoe on the side.

These are so cute and comfy and I love them. Minus two stars because I specifically bought them for the little silver SM on the bottom so they’d look better than the ones at Walmart. These did not come with the little silver logo on the bottom.

Super cute but came damaged & really annoying to walk in

Super cute but mine came damaged and the straps don’t stay up great…
I love Steve Madden shoes, and own a few pairs already, so I had high hopes for these heels.
I ordered these for a wedding coming up and
I hadn’t opened the package right away as I was out of town, when I got back I was so excited to try them on only to find that they came already scuffed on the toes and heels!! It looked like they had been worn multiple times already, so that was upsetting.
In terms of fit, I ordered a size 8, and it fit true to size as far at the sole goes, as for the strap that goes from in between your toes and around your heel, it falls off after taking 3 steps and is honestly really annoying!
The strap that goes across the top of your foot was also wayyy loose on my feet and didn’t help the other strap stay in place much making it super difficult to walk in them, every step felt like they were about to fly off my feet!
Unfortunately, I will be returning them.

Blue kitten heels
Size: 9.5, Color: Blue Leather
These are very pretty shoes with a comfortable heel height. The first time I wore them, they started slipping in the back. The strap that goes around the heel is not adjustable and they ended up flopping as I walked. I ordered my normal size and they fit perfectly so I couldn’t go down a size. Oh well…. Too late to return them.
