De doornloze braam 'Thornless Evergreen' is zoals de naam al zegt een doornloze bramenstruik. Deze tot -15 winterharde bramenstruik wordt zo'n 4 meter groot. Deze soort is zelfbestuivend en staat bekend om haar fraai ingesneden bladeren. Het mooie blad maakt deze soort geschikt als leifruit haag.

Bloeiperiode en vruchten doornloze braam 'Thornless Evergreen'

De struik bloeit in mei en juni met witte bloemen, vanaf half augustus tot eind september geven de struiken vruchten. Wees er op tijd bij met het oogsten, want blijven de bramen lang hangen dan wordt de smaak van de vrucht wrang. Wanneer geoogst op het juiste moment zijn de middelgrote bramen sappig en zoet/zuur. De braam is door de iets zurige smaak uitermate geschikt voor directe consumptie of de verwerking in jams, gerechten, sap of siroop. De braam laat zich ook gemakkelijk invriezen, bij het ontdooien is de smaak intact wel kan het uiterlijk een beetje tegenvallen want het zijn tere vruchten.

Bramenstruiken begeleiden op trellis

Deze stekelloze Bramenstruik kan vrij groot worden, de dikke takken zullen ondersteund moeten worden, dit kan het beste door ze op te binden met klimdraad of te begeleiden langs stalen trellisschermen of houten rasterpanelen. Het jaarlijks opnieuw opbinden van verse scheuten en wegsnoeien van takken waarvan u net geoogst heeft vergt wat precisiewerk, maar is een must als u deze plant koopt. Na enkele jaren krijgt u er schik en is het echt genieten om van uw eigen leifruit te snoepen.

Doornloze braam 'Thornless Evergreen' kopen & combineren

Deze doornloze braam laat zij zich heel eenvoudig combineren met andere eetbare planten maar ook met onze fruittuin pakketten of andere eetbare klimplanten zoals de klimdruif of bloeiende klimplanten. Maakt u een haag van deze braam rond uw moestuin of in uw siertuin? Dat is een goed idee. Dan kunt u deze planten ook combineren met onze borderpakketten of andere eetbare heesters zoals de Framboos, Japanse Wijnbes of Rode/Blauwe bessenstruiken.

Wij leveren deze doornloze bramenstruik en andere struiken en planten voor in de tuin graag bij u thuis. Bezorgen van tuinplanten is ons vak. Alle leifruit planten en andere tuinplanten van Yarinde worden vakkundig met eigen vervoer tot aan uw tuin geleverd. Wij bezorgen door heel Nederland en Vlaanderen. Doornloze braam standplaats

De 'Thornless Evergreen' kan heel het jaar door geplant worden, mits het niet vriest. De braam staat bij voorkeur op een zonnige standplaats. De braam verdraagt ook halfzon maar onthou; hoe meer zon hoe zoeter de vrucht.

Plant u meerdere struiken, hanteer dan een plantafstand van 125 tot 150cm. Bemest de struik in het voor- en najaar met stalmest / organische meststoffen. Snoei de braam na het planten terug tot 30cm boven de grond. De braam groeit weelderig en de grote oudere takken moeten ondersteund worden. Dit kunt u doen door bijvoorbeeld een muur of schutting te gebruiken, u kunt er ook voor kiezen om tussen twee palen draad te spannen en de grote takken hiermee te geleiden of u plaatst een trellisschem als ondersteuning van de braam.

Tijdens het eerste jaar heeft de braam waarschijnlijk nog geen vruchten gedragen, toch is het verstandig om te snoeien. Knip dan de einde tot boven een knop van nieuwste scheuten weg. Hierdoor zullen zij zich vertakken en is er meer ruimte voor bloesems en vruchten. Wanneer de struik voor het eerste vruchten heeft gegeven begin dan de snoei zoals boven beschreven.

Voedingswaarde 'thornless evergreen' braam

Bramen zijn super gezond, ze smaken lekker en bevatten veel goede voedingsstoffen. De braam is de meest calcium rijke vruchtsoort. Ook zijn bramenstruiken rijk aan; Vitamine A, B1, B2, B6, B11, C en E. Daarnaast bevatten ze veel mineralen zoals; natrium, kalium, calcium, fosfor, ijzer, magnesium en koper. Ook bevatten bramen veel antioxidanten die de lichaamscellen beschermen, de weerstand een boost geven en het verouderingsproces tegengaan.

Held Up Better Than Most for My Aggressive Chewer

I have to give the Fuufome Dog Chew Toy for Aggressive Chewers a solid 3 out of 5 stars. I have a very high-energy Lab mix named Boone who is an extremely aggressive chewer. Finding toys that last in our house is nearly impossible. This is actually his second toy like this - the first one is currently in my yard in three different pieces. While I don’t believe this toy was advertised as indestructible, I still hoped it would fully survive Boone’s chewing. Some parts have held up well, which is more than I can say for many other toys we’ve tried. However, he was still able to do some noticeable damage to the rubber portion after consistent use. To be fair, it did last longer than most toys we’ve purchased, which says a lot considering how tough Boone is on his things. For moderate chewers, I think this would hold up quite well. For truly aggressive chewers like mine, it’s tougher than average but still may show wear over time.

NOT Indestructible and a Nylon Product (NOT A CHEW TOY)

I gave this dog toy 2-stars based on my dog toy rating system (DTRS) for “Bruce” the Green Alligator! Unfortunately, I didn’t notice in the fine print of the product description on the website that this toy consisted of Nylon. If I noticed that description, I would’ve never purchased this product. Please do your own research on Nylon wrt teeth. I wasn’t impressed with the toy construction out of the box. The nylon head and tail sandwich the rubber body with soft rubber spines on Bruce’s back for easy gripping. This is not an “Indestructible” dog toy. Safety (1-rating): 1. I was always concerned about my dog’s teeth possibly cracking while he was chewing on Bruce’s Nylon ends. Thankfully, his teeth were fine throughout the use of this toy. 2. The Nylon came off in small pieces after a few hours and continued for the life of the toy; see picture. I never intended for my dog to swallow pieces of Nylon. 3. Bruce’s rubber rear end is where most of the damage occurred, as my dog was tearing off pieces of rubber and spines, which he thankfully passed through his system over a period of 2-3 days after I threw Bruce away; see picture. 4. The chewed-up Nylon ends were very hard, rough, sharp and pointy. There were occasions where I noticed my dog’s gums were bleeding as a result of chewing this toy. 5. Bruce is big enough not to swallow in its entirety, which is why I’m giving this a 1-rating for safety. 6. This is a molded product and not a plush product. Durability (2-rating): 1. It took my dog 1 to 2-weeks to get the toy in the shape that is shown on the posted photos. 2. The Nylon was immediately being scratched and scraped apart on day-1. Then I noticed pieces of Nylon coming off of Bruce after 3-4 days. 3. The rubber was immediately being punctured with small divots around the body on day-1. I noticed over the next couple of days that my dog was focusing on the rear end and trying to pull the rubber off the Nylon tail. 4. The rubber started coming off more quickly after 1-week, until I removed it all together. Squeaker (N/A): 1. Bruce has no squeaker. Fatality (2-rating): 1. Bruce had a longer life than most of my dog’s toys, but then again, I expected this to last much longer as the seller claims it is “Indestructible”, which it is not. 2. I tried filing off some of Bruce’s chewed up Nylon ends to smooth them out for more chew time, but came to my senses and just threw him away for safety concerns only. In conclusion, “Bruce” the Green Alligator should not be given as a chew toy, but more as a fetch toy, unless you want your dog to digest the Nylon and rubber materials. My dog loves it

The bone arrived today and my dog loves it. He is a very aggressive chewer and destroyed almost all his toys so far, even toys that were advertised for aggressive chewers unfortunately didn't held out long, the longest so far was a stuffy we couldn't find anymore and that one lasted him a few weeks but everything else lasted him an hour up to a few days max, even bones don't last him long so we have our hopes set on this bone to satisfy his chewing needs. I will update my review later on sturdiness, since we just got it and I can't review that yet but so far he loves it he has been chewing on it non stop, he already managed to get very small pieces of as shown in picture but with a regular bone he would've already been much much further. The bone is only 10 bucks so the value for money you get based on my experience so far is amazing! But also for this I will come back later to touch upon more. The size is good, our boy is a medium sized dog and this bone was advertised for medium to large size dogs and I thinks the size is just right for our boy . And there is definitely a beef flavor on it you can smell it but it doesn't smell bad it's a nice smell and not very strong but when he is chewing on it you smell it. I would based on my experience so far definitely recommend this bone but also on this I will touch back upon later if it's worth it in the long run. So far a very happy dog and owners here. Edit on May 8th (original review was on March 11th) He still hasn't managed to destroy it it's the first (cgew)toy he hasn't managed to destroy yet which is very impressive since he managed to destroy the even most toughest things we got for him in a week tops and bones within 1, 2 days tops, so we are very happy and pleased with this bone and will definitely get more later. He still enjoys chewing on it and leaves our things mostly alone for some reason he just likes stealing my things and chew on it lol. So 2 months later still stand by recommending this when your dog loves to chew and destroys everything he puts his mouth on.

I purchased this bone about 2 months ago. As you see from the photos attached, this is a very well made chew bone and my aggressive pitbulls can't tear it apart do they try. They never get tired of it and chewing it every single day for hours on and keeping them very occupied. I have two bones and three pitbulls that chew on it every day. It is so adorable and has an awesome flavor to it which I think entices them even more to want to chew on it. The durability and Lasting power is amazing to me with these tough chewers. I highly recommend this product to everyone out there. I will say only one negative and that is that the middle wraparound piece they were able to pull off but that is not a big deal because there is plenty of bone which was under that cover in the middle of the bone. There's a few mauled chips missing from the ends but the life of this bone is obviously going to be a long time which really surprised me. Give it a shot if you have heavy duty chewers and you will find how awesome this phone really is and it's durability and strength our second to none in my opinion.
