De Kalanchoë is eigenlijk een vetplant. Z’n bladeren gebruikt-ie als waterreservoir. U hoeft dus weinig te gieten. En het aardige van Kalanchoë is dat deze plant jaarrond kan bloeien, met een zee van viertallige bloemetjes!  
 

Verzorging  De Kalanchoë is afkomstig uit tropisch Afrika (Madagascar) en behoort tot de Crassulaceae (vetplanten) familie. Er zijn meer dan 200 soorten van deze plant, variërend van hang- en rijkbloeiende planten tot planten met verschillende kleuren bloemen en binnen- en buitenplanten. De ideale temperatuur voor de plant is ± 20 ºC (kamertemperatuur). De plant kan echter temperaturen variërend van 12 ºC tot 30 ºC probleemloos verdragen. Geef de Kalanchoë een lichtrijke warme plaats (volle zon is geen probleem), want anders kan de plant niet in bloei komen. De plant vraagt weinig water, doordat hij zijn bladeren gebruikt als watervoorraad. Geef de plant eens per twee à drie weken een beetje plantenvoeding met het water mee. De Kalanchoë kan jaarrond bloeien en kan een werkelijke bloemenzee tonen, bestaande uit viertallige bloemen. De uitgebloeide bloemen kunnen verwijderd worden. Een positieve eigenschap is dat de plant in kleine ruimtes nauwelijks groeit, overpotten is hierdoor niet nodig.
De beste tips om uw plant te verzorgen:
Heeft weinig verzorging nodig. Kan ‘s zomers buiten geplaatst worden. Lichte, zonnige plaats. Ideale temperatuur 20 ºC. Vochtig houden, potgrond mag niet uitdrogen. ‘s Winters plant iets droger houden.
De Kalanchoë’s zitten in een leuke keramieke ompot van 13 cm. De hoogte van de plant is 30 cm.

I have to use these for about 1/2 a year. I keep bronchitis and sinusitis from about Oct. to April every since I was a child. When I am suffering with these I can't breath through my nose, epically at night while sleeping and would wake up several times a night with dry mouth so bad ir was literally painful. My mom turned me on to these because she was using the with her CPAP. I sometimes have a bit of difficulty getting them to stay put but overall they are great. I have tried the OG, cinnamon, and berry. The OG have no real taste, but you wake up with a sweet taste in your mouth. I tried the cinnamon because I love cinnamon and didn't listen to the reviews stating how strong the flavor is, big regret, it's like putting two or three fireballs in your mouth, won't be making that mistake again. The berry ones are actually best in my opinion. They have a light berry flavor that isn't overpowering, isn't quite as sweet as the OG. Whichever one you choose you won't wake up in pain. I do suggest using only one at first as opposed to the two they recommend, unless you like waking up with your head on a water logged pillow. One generally gets me through the night unless my congestion is super bad, then I will sometimes have to use a 2nd one about 1/2 way through my night when I wake up for the bathroom and realize it's already completely dissolved.
