Synergy -Synergy is het eerste volledig coperatieve spel van de Jolly Club. In Synergy draait het allemaal om het correct aanvoelen van je medespelers. Jullie worden op een missie gestuurd en moeten deze samen zien te volbrengen. Jullie kunnen echter niet met elkaar communiceren. Je zal dus logisch moeten nadenken en een inschatting moeten maken wat de rest gaat doen. Op je missie kaart staat hoeveel rondes jullie moeten winnen en hoeveel levens jullie hebben.

Je zal dus logisch moeten nadenken en een inschatting moeten maken wat de rest gaat doen.Op je missie kaart staat hoeveel rondes jullie moeten winnen en hoeveel levens jullie hebben. Ook vind je informatie over eventuele actiekaarten die je kan gebruiken of uitdagingen die je moet vervullen. Een missie is geslaagd als jullie het aangegeven aantal rondes hebben gehaald. De missie faalt wanneer jullie al je levens zijn verloren.
Tijdens een missie speelt elke speler twee cijferkaarten en één opdrachtkaart. Aan het eind van de ronde worden de cijferkaarten bij elkaar opgeteld en word er gekeken of je je opdracht hebt gehaald. In de meeste rondes van Synergy begin je met het gedekt spelen van een cijferkaart. Heeft iedereen een kaart gespeeld dan worden deze open gedraaid. Daarna moet je bedenken welke opdracht jij denkt te kunnen halen en speel je jouw opdracht gesloten voor je neer. Nadat iedereen een opdracht heeft gekozen wordt deze ook open gedraaid. En dit is het moment waar het lastig wordt.
Met de opdrachtkaarten die anderen voor zich hebben liggen moet je gaan bedenken welke kaart je denkt dat anderen gaan spelen en welke kaart dan logisch is voor jou om te spelen. Je speelt je laatste cijferkaart, draait deze open en komt er achter of jouw redenering in synergie was met de rest. Als genoeg spelers hun opdracht hebben gehaald, winnen jullie die ronde. Hebben jullie het ronde aantal dat op de missiekaart staat gehaald, dan winnen jullie de missie en kunnen jullie door naar de volgende!
Synergy is een spel met “campaign game” elementen. Zo begin je bij missie 1 en speel je naast nieuwe missies ook nieuwe actiekaarten en uitdagingen vrij. In totaal zijn er 30 missies. Elke missie is net een stapje moeilijker dan de vorige. Hierdoor is Synergy erg leuk om met een vaste groep te spelen. Speel 1 voor 1 de verschillende missies en raak steeds beter op elkaar ingespeeld. Hebben jullie alle missies gehaald? Dan kan je daarna zelf kiezen hoe moeilijk je het wilt maken en welke missie je wilt spelen, of natuurlijk je eigen missies bedenken!
Synergy is ontworpen door Robert Brouwer, die al eerder Kobito uitgaf bij Jolly Dutch en van wie dit jaar nog vele spellen op de planning staan bij verschillende uitgevers. Het artwork is van de hand van Gustavo Furstenau, die onder andere Click! The Great Wall en Unbeetable vormgaf. Synergy is een spel in de milieuvriendelijk geproduceerde Jolly Club kaartspellenlijn van Jolly Dutch, wat betekent dat het is gemaakt van FSC-materialen, biologisch afbreekbaar plastic, inkt, en hars in plaats van lijm. Ook de volledige carbon footprint wordt gecompenseerd.

Fae Courts with High Intrigue
Format: Kindle
This book is one that just builds and builds and then surprises you to no end. You may think you know the villains and then you are jolted in another direction. Princess Reyna is a real gem, strong of character, a fierce fighter, and loyal to her family and kingdom. Just when you think she and Lorcan, well you know, the plot is flipped. Can't wait to see where this goes in book two.

Slow, sorry but good

This was a slow moving book. Lots of character pov chapters, lots of superfluous descriptions and endless courtly appearances stalled this book to start. Once you get into the heart of the story, it takes off. Before you know it the book is done. My favorite character is Reyna. She is so strong. She is true to herself. She gets into a lot of trouble with her headstrong ways but it's entertaining. I have high hopes for Lorcan. He is honorable to a fault. Thane had turned out to be better than I thought but i still don't like him. Eislin is useless. Great plot twists at the end. I'm looking forward too book 2.

Very detailed! Beautiful world building! Strong Heroine!

Starts off a little slow and confusing with different POV’s, but starts to all come together towards the middle to make an elaborate plot line and makes it all worth it. Beautiful world building and attention to detail as well as great writing. The cliffhanger was gut wrenching! Can’t wait for the next book!

Interesting

This was a very captivating book once you got into it thoroughly. But the third person perspective was a bit hard to get used to. But as you got into it and followed the different characters, it was interesting and filled with intrigue, conflict and forbidden love.
I can’t wait to read the next one and to complete the series.

OUTSTANDING
Format: Kindle
This was very, very good. The world is vast and characters are complex. There is a good plot with a whole lot going on. This is well written. Good twists and turns and some heart breaking moments. You will love these characters, they have heart and loyalty. I am hoping that there will be several more books. We've yet to see anything from the Sea Court but only a mention of them here and there. The Wood Court was given a quick couple of scenes, and only as far as some warriors, we've yet to enter their court and the Shadow Court, I'm not sure if they will be a force for good or bad, but they definitely will play a much bigger role moving forward. This is primarily the Ice and Air Courts. Told in multiple views, which I loved, it gives you a chance to see things from different eyes. There's alot of political maneuvering and deception. I loved it and will pick up the next book as it becomes available. If you like The Fae and the courts, you should love this. I think the author has mucn in store for us.
