De HiFiMAN Edition XS is een over-ear open-back hoofdtelefoon voorzien van magnetostatische drivers. De XS is de opvolger van de veel geprezen en uiterst populaire HiFiMAN Edition X die in 2015 is geïntroduceerd. Ten opzichte van het voorgaande model is de Edition XS op diverse punten verbeterd.

Om te beginnen heeft de full range planar driver van de Edition XS een nieuw NEO Supernano membraan gekregen en is de driver voorzien van krachtige Stealth magneet technologie. Deze magneten zijn akoestisch transparant zodat deze drivers minder hinder ondervinden van nadelige diffractie. Hiermee laat deze hoofdtelefoon de muziek met nog meer controle en verfijning horen. Bovenal is de soundstage met deze Edition XS breder en meer natuurgetrouw dan voorheen.

Draagcomfort

De Edition X onderscheidde zich al als een uiterst comfortabele hoofdtelefoon, HiFiMAN heeft dit voor deze XS naar een nog hoger niveau getild. Dankzij het lage gewicht, de toepassing van geheugenschuim en de nieuw ontwikkelde hoofdband zul je deze hoofdtelefoon zelfs bij langere luistersessies als uiterst comfortabel blijven ervaren.

Breed inzetbaar

Voor een optimale uitwisselbaarheid met diverse muziekbronnen is de koptelefoon voorzien van een wisselbare hoofdtelefoonkabel. Hierbij heeft HiFiMAN gebruik gemaakt van 3.5mm jackpluggen voor de connectie met de oorschelpen waarmee deze headphones met een groot aantal hoofdtelefoonkabels kan worden gecombineerd.

That's really not the products fault so I won't subtract the score because of it. Also, I decided to put the holder flush against the side closest to me, instead of the side or the back of the sink. If I had chosen that location, the brush sticking out might not be an issue.

It doesn't slide around or come off or slide to the bottom of the sink. It just stays put which is so unique for anything with suction cups. The only reason i am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is quite small. I wish it were a few inches longer so i could easily fit two rags or sponges in the holder. But i have to jam them in and its not pretty. So for the price, i think it should have been bigger. Still a good product because of the functionality of the suction cups.

When I first received it and placed it on, it continued to fall so I almost returned it. However, I found a method online that worked and it has not fallen since even after all the water and soap getting near it. I’ve placed it on a stainless steel sink so not sure if the method works on other surfaces. Clean the area with soap and water and then make sure there’s no soap residue. Make the water temperature hot and “heat up” both the steel surface and the suction. While it’s still wet, firmly place the suction and make sure it doesn’t move. That should do the trick!

A tiny item that makes my life more lovely. No more yucky scrubber residue all over the counter edge, or soap leaking all over from a faulty handle. Even after carefully cleaning the side of my deep sink with vinegar and washing the suction cups, they come loose about once a day. Giving them a hard push on seems to help, but not a cure.
