Deze sterke heester vormt een laag en verzorgd tapijt van kleine, donkergroene bladeren, waardoor hij ideaal is voor het opvullen van borders, plantvakken en andere plekken waar een nette, onderhoudsvriendelijke beplanting gewenst is.

Dankzij zijn compacte formaat is Euonymus fortunei ‘Minimus’ bijzonder geschikt voor kleinere tuinen, rotstuinen, randbeplantingen en vakken onder bomen en struiken. De plant groeit langzaam maar dicht, waardoor onkruid minder kans krijgt en de bodem goed bedekt blijft.

Het wintergroene blad zorgt het hele jaar door voor structuur en kleur in de tuin. Tijdens de koudere maanden kunnen de bladeren subtiele brons- of geelgroene tinten ontwikkelen, wat extra sierwaarde geeft aan de beplanting.
