VH Control "Echo wifi" - Digitale draadloze RF thermostaat 

De draadloze Echo is speciaal ontworpen voor het aansturen van elektrische en infrarood (vloer)verwarming. Het systeem bestaat uit 2 onderdelen: 

  • Een thermostaat die vrij kan worden geplaatst (werkt op batterijen).
  • 1 of meer ontvangers die worden voorzien van 230 volt netstroom en waarop de verwarming wordt aangesloten

De thermostaat wordt gekoppeld aan één of meer ontvangers met een gecodeerd RF signaal. Bij een warmtevraag zal de thermostaat een draadloos signaal versturen en dan schakelen de gekoppelde ontvangers de stroom in naar de verwarmingselementen.

Bovendien is de thermostaat uitgevoerd met wifi functie, de thermostaat kan worden gekoppeld met de Tuya Smart App. Daarmee kunt u vanaf iedere plek op de wereld de thermostaat instellen en bedienen. Daarnaast is de thermostaat te koppelen aan Google Home en Alexa, zodat er ook spraakopdrachten aan de thermostaat gestuurd kunnen worden.

Uniek aan de Echo thermostaat is de mogelijkheid om met dezelfde thermostaat zowel vloerverwarming als infraroodpanelen aan te sturen. Door de geavanceerde programmamogelijkheden en de open raam detectie voldoet de Echo bovendien aan de EcoDesign richtlijnen van de EU. Daarmee is deze thermostaat niet alleen veelzijdig, maar tevens een verantwoorde keuze in energiegebruik.

De thermostaat werkt op 230V/USB (bij actieve wifi verbinding) en stuurt één of meerdere ontvangers tegelijkertijd aan. Hierdoor is de Echo thermostaat op veel plekken inzetbaar en biedt deze de mogelijkheid om het te schakelen vermogen over meerdere groepen te verdelen. Elke Echo RF thermostaat heeft een eigen unieke code waarmee deze gekoppeld kan worden aan elk van de 3 type ontvanger(s). Hierdoor is het geen probleem om meerdere Echo RF thermostaten te gebruiken op één locatie. 

Het heldere scherm biedt een grote kijkhoek, zodat de thermostaat in alle omstandigheden goed af te lezen is.

Programma

De Echo RF wifi thermostaat is voor iedere dag individueel te programmeren. Het is mogelijk om 4 schakelmomenten per dag in te stellen. Deze programmering kan via de wifi of de thermostaat worden ingesteld en aangepast.

Keuze voor ontvanger

De Echo RF thermostaat kan worden gecombineerd met 3 verschillende ontvangers:

  • Type R:    Opbouwontvanger inclusief vloersensor voor het aansturen van elektrische (infrarood) verwarmingsoplossingen zoals infraroodpanelen of (infrarood) vloerverwarming. De vloersensor functie kan met een schakelaar worden geactiveerd of gedeactiveerd, zodat deze ontvanger op 2 manieren kan worden toegepast.
  • Type RM: Mini ontvanger voor het aansturen van elektrische (infrarood) verwarmingsoplossingen zoals infraroodpanelen. Deze mini ontvanger kan in een inbouwdoos worden geplaatst of achterop een infraroodpaneel worden weggewerkt. Let op: montage achterop is alleen mogelijk bij VH Infrarood panelen (behalve de Bari), niet bij Ecosun panelen
  • Type P:    Plug-in ontvanger voor aansturen van elektrische (infrarood) verwarmingsoplossingen. De ontvanger kan geplaatst worden in een standaard stopcontact voorzien van rand- of penaarde.

Alle ontvangers werken op 230 Volt en communiceren middels een RF signaal op 868 MHz. De ontvangers kunnen worden gecombineerd met alle draadloze thermostaten uit de Echo en Otus serie.

Opbouwrand

Voor het monteren van de type R ontvanger is er een opbouwrand beschikbaar. Hierin kan de bedrading van meerdere elementen bij elkaar worden gebracht onder de ontvanger, om deze handig aan te kunnen sluiten op de poorten van de ontvanger. Deze opbouwrand is specifiek ontworpen voor de ontvanger en sluit perfect aan op de onderzijde van de ontvanger. De opbouwrand is via deze link te vinden of via de accessoires bij dit product.

Excellent Monitor
This is a great monitor, picture quality is outstanding with great color fidelity. Coming from a standard 28 inches16X9 Samsung 4K monitor, which I also purchased here on Amazon, sometimes I do notice blurriness on some photos specially if you put them full screen, but this is understandable being that even with the high pixel density on this monitor low quality images will look a little blurry in full screen or when expanded more than %100 of their native size. (Not a monitor's fault). UPDATE: Correction, all I had to do to remove all the blurriness was to decrease the monitor sharpness settings, I brought that down from the default setting to just 40 and that made a huge difference without losing the quality of the images or video. Also, if you want to compensate for that, and you have great vision like 20/20, then you can change the scaling on Windows to just %125 instead of the recommended %150. However, for people like me with not the best vision, then everything becomes a tiny bit too small to look at comfortably. And also at such lower scaling some websites serve smaller lower quality images (specially on sites using WordPress) and this I do not like either, so I stick to the recommended %150 scaling which gives me an overall best experience everywhere. To the user "JVH" who posted a review complaining about the monitor changing sources unexpectedly, this is a feature, you may disable it on the Monitor Menu settings or using Dell Display Manager software which you may install and will give you easier access to the monitor features, or just accessing the built-in monitor Menu. On the monitor, however, you can just go to the Menu using the joystick, then go to "Input Source", then "Auto Select" and change it to OFF. This is a huge monitor, and you need plenty of space on your desk to use it. I also agree the ports in the monitor are placed facing downwards (a trend on most new monitors these days) which makes it hard to reconnect cables if unplugged. Regarding the KVM switch it has worked fine for me for the most part, however the network switch mode doesn't work very well, and it's complicated to switch sources if you use the network switch instead of the KVM USB mode. I also wish more than 2 computers could be connected to the monitor with the USB KVM mode, more than two computers can only be used while utilizing the KVM Network mode. There are only three color modes built in "Standard", "Movie" and "Game". Default color modes and presets are not as many as in other monitors and I find the default colors either too yellow or washed out for my taste, however I selected Movie mode for now then played a little with the brightness/contrast and color saturation and I have gotten it to look good for my taste. By all means please do yourself a favor and install "Dell Display Manager" This app makes it easy to quickly manage your monitor settings, change them and I have also noticed that the display delivers more a more sophisticated picture when that app is installed. You'll also be able to export/import certain settings with it and over control almost everything without the need to play with the joystick in the back. If you have an NVIDIA card, by all means install the Nvidia settings app then go to the Display tab then "Adjust Color Settings" and play with the brightness/contrast/Gama and Digital vibrance a little to make it look even better. Before you do that make sure to take screenshots of the current settings, if you change it too drastically you might find it very hard to find the previous settings, and you might need to reset the app to defaults and start from zero again. Here are my current settings on the "Display/Adjust Desktop Color Settings" on the Nvidia App: 1- First, select ALL channels on the color channel option 2- Brightness +40 3-Contrast +55 4-Gamma +1.12 5-Digital Vibrance +67 6- Save all the settings. Now go to the Video tab on the Nvidia App then go to "Adjust Video Image Settings" 1-) Edge Enhancement select "Use the Nvidia Settings" and set it to +10 2-) Noise Reduction select "Use the Nvidia Settings" and set it to +7 3 Deinterlacing, Select "Use Inverse Telecine" 4 RTX Enhancement, Select Super resolution and set the quality to 4. Here are my hard settings on the Monitor itself: Brightness 69 Contrast 67 Autobrightness OFF Autocolor Temp OFF Color Settings Preset mode: Movie Input color mode: RGB Hue 50 Saturation 67 Display Aspect Ratio 21:9 Sharpness 40 Response Time: Fast Smart HDR: OFF PS: I'm still playing with the settings, so I'll update my settings here as I play more with them. You also have options to change the Color Temperature, Color Space or you can skip all prebuilt picture modes and select "Custom Color" this is ideal for those who really know what they are doing and that's what I'll probably switch to when I have time to play with it. Keep in mind I'm still discovering mode and might radically change these settings again, but so far these settings are the easiest I have found to change and give me stunning picture and video settings. Take the above advice as not from an expert and also as only a base from where to start to tweak the monitor to your liking. Again, ensure to keep screenshots of all your current changes in case you want to go back to what you had, or you'll need to reset everything to defaults and start as a new monitor. I have been holding on from buying an ultrawide for years because I was not willing to downgrade from 4K to any of those ultrawide ones with very low resolution. This is finally a 5k2k that wouldn't make me feel like I was downgrading instead of upgrading. Other than the few cons, this is an excellent monitor and I would recommend it to anyone.

Best monitor I've had (yet).
Upgraded from a Dell 3818dw widescreen. All the reviews online I've read (or watched on YouTube) about this monitor are spot on. The color is excellent (as been my experience with most Dell Ultrasharp monitors), 120Hz is a nice upgrade, as is HDR (abet only HDR600, and not HDR1000) which is bright. Black level is really good for an IPS panel - this display uses "special new-tech" called IPS-Black. Not as good as OLED, but better than the last IPS panel. Viewing angle is very wide. Response time is adequate for professional use - this is not a gaming monitor, rather a monitor designed to get work done - be it coding, photo/video editing, or 3D modeling, although it works for the light gaming. The built in KVM works well, with the Thunderbolt connecting to a Macbook Pro, while the HDMI connects to a KVM that has 4 systems on it. It is nice that you can turn off the 2.5GB network from switching with the monitor's KVM so the one device you want to use the wired connection (like the Macbook Pro on Thunderbolt) doesn't loose it's wired connection when switching to the other device - little details like that show that the folks who designed the monitor actually deal with these use cases. Highly recommend, especially if on sale.

All I can say is "wow"
A picture can hardly show the amazing quality of this display, but I've attached one to give you a general idea. I should say that I am not a gamer, so I can't comment on that aspect of this monitor. But for productivity - such as being able to see an entire spreadsheet without horizontal scrolling - it is a game changer. At 120Hz with resolutions up to 5120 x 2160 the quality of video and graphics is stunning. The built in hub has more ports of every kind than I will ever use, and the KVM switching has eased switching between my Mac Studio and Debian Linux server as simple as pressing a button on the back of a monitor. I know this is a lot of money for a monitor, but assuming it is long lasting, this will be the last one I buy for years to come. I spend 8 - 10 hours a day at my computer and this has made that time so much more enjoyable and productive. I should mention it was plug-and-play for both my Mac and Linux operating systems. I plugged it in and it worked.

The best…
5120x2160! Did you read the 2160 vertical!? Yea I can’t stress that enough. Gosh I find it so frustrating there arnt more options in this space. Here is the deal, if you have multiple monitor setup (and you should if you have a work station) you likely will have a couple of 4k monitors kicking around. Now these 4k monitors are staples, and they all have 2160 vertical. If you have 1140 vertical like almost ALL ultra wide monitors do then there will be this annoying stepping with your mouse when you go from one screen to the next. It drives me nuts that the standard for these ultra wides does this. If you don’t have the same resolution vertical from one screen to the next then you won’t have a seamless transition from one screen to the next. It’s just the facts. This dell is one of the only curved ultra wide monitors with 2160 vertical resolution. It runs at 120 hertz which also believe it or not makes it one of the only 5120x2160 resolution monitors on the market to do that. I’m sure you can tell by my writing I have owned a lot of high quality monitors in my time and this one for me is by far the best. I’m switching from a none curved ultra wide 32” LG that runs at 60hrtz. Needless to say this is way better, and sadly there was like this burn in that occurred on my LG that would eventually go away but stick around for the better part of a day. This ultimately put me back in the market looking for a replacement. Point being, now I only buy dell monitors. I’ve never had issues with them , they have great color reproduction, pretty affordable (as of now), basically super reliable all around. Obviously I’m not thrilled about the lack of options for folks that have real work to do on there pcs. All this gamer b.s. in the marketplace, it’s all junk as far as I’m concerned. So if you actually have productive things to do on your pc then you can’t do much better then this monitor, I highly recommend. My only gripe is I wanted a smaller version of this maybe a 32” or 36”, it simply doesn’t exist on the market as of now. However, this works for me, the curved surface buys me back a little desk relestate, and it’s something I really missed with my previous monitor. Side note, I definitely recommend monitor arms for all your monitors. I bought one for the larger center monitor (this one) and it works great. Just be sure you buy one that has a high weight capacity, ideally 44lbs or more. This monitor given its size is 42lbs I believe (although honestly it doesn’t feel nearly that heavy). So just be prepared for that. Hope this is helpful, and I hope the manufacturers wake up one day and realize this screen resolution isn’t a nice to have, it’s a must for a lot of people.
