De Diatesse XPER kan naast glucose ook ketonen meten.

Bij het verbruik van vetten ontstaan ketonen. Deze ketonen kunnen, mits in grote hoeveelheden, ons bloed verzuren. Een verhoogde ketonenspiegel noemt men een “ketose”. Een sterk verhoogde ketonenspiegel, inclusief de verzuring, noemt men een “ketoacidose”. Dit kan optreden tijdens het volgen van een ketogeen-dieet.
Aangezien een ketoacidose in combinatie met diabetes kan leiden tot een diabetische coma is het meten van ketonen onder speciale omstandigheden sterk aan te raden. Zeker als er ook nog sprake is van ziekte en/of koorts en braken. U dient tevens de zorgverlener te raadplegen indien hier sprake van is.

Great value and capacity for the real estate ratio is perfect.
It certainly takes up less real estate on my desk with a very high port capacity. It's solid and I like the fact that it can attached to a thicker surface. It was very easy to install and the plugs give good options as there's always some cord that can't be plugged in. The USBs are a bonus as I already have ports on a different device. But, I'm sure I'll end up using these USB ports eventually. The value is really good for the capacity you get. Having the strip further in to use the back plugs easier makes a lot of sense. Could be an issue for some who don't have table real estate as it does push the strip in a bit.
