Een deel van de wijngaarden zijn al meer dan 130 jaar oud en daarmee mogelijk de oudste van Europa dit geeft een enorme concentratie en complexiteit mee waardoor deze wijn wordt geroemd tot ver buiten de landsgrens. Maar ook in Spanje beide dochters van de Spaanse koning Juan Carlos schonken de Cachazo wijnen op hun bruiloft.

De druiven voor de Carrasviñas Barrica worden geperst, in hout gegist en daarna rijpt de wijn nog zes maanden op dat hout.

In de neus is bij deze Verdejo het hout heel duidelijk aanwezig, zeker het Amerikaanse hout. Maar in de smaak is de balans dan ineens veel beter. Behoorlijk wat rijkdom maar heeft de frisse zuren ter ondersteuning dit brengt een mooie balans.
