BioTechUSA After is a complex, flavoured post-workout drink powder with active ingredients that benefit your body after your workout. It contains essential amino acids, complex carbohydrates and micronised creatine monohydrate. Creatine increases physical performance in successive bursts of short-term, high intensity exercise. For a favourable effect, take 3 g of creatine daily.

Proteins are the important building blocks of living cells; and amino acids are the building blocks of proteins. Our body is able to produce some of these (non-essential amino acids), however, the rest (essential amino acids) can solely be consumed through our diet.

Among the 9 essential amino acids, BCAAs represent a separate category. The abbreviation stands for the group of branched-chain amino acids. There are a total of three amino acids in this category: L-leucine, L-isoleucine and L-valine. The product contains these 3 amino acids in a 2:1:1 ratio.

In addition, the product contains both peptide-bonded glutamine and L-glutamine. Glutamine is an amino acid that is also produced by the body, but it can also be classified as conditionally essential (a temporary set), because under certain circumstances, such as high intensity or prolonged exercise, the body's need for glutamine may be greater than it can currently produce.¹

In addition to these ingredients, the added vitamins and minerals also play a useful role. Chromium, for instance, contributes to the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels, while zinc contributes to normal protein synthesis and to normal carbohydrate metabolism. You’ll also find vitamin C, B12 and B6 among the active ingredients, which all contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and to the normal functioning of the nervous system. The folate contained in the product contributes to normal amino acid synthesis. The electrolyte (mineral salt) content of the product is made up of 3 minerals: calcium, magnesium and sodium, the latter derived from sodium citrate. The magnesium content of the formula contributes to maintaining electrolyte balance, while magnesium and calcium contribute to normal muscle function.
