First US [l313266 pressing, with distinguishing features as follows:
- "Sub-Mission" song title is not printed on back cover, there is a blank space where the title would be. "Sub-mission" is printed on the B-side label. May have a sticker on the rear cover: 'Also contains Sub·Mission BSK 3147'.
- Black and white 'Sex Pistols' labels with smaller WB and Virgin logos at top of labels, instead of the standard Warner Bros labels used later.
- Blue and white printed inner sleeve
- Additionally, promo copies have 2 stickers added to the front cover: "This album may contain material unsuitable for airplay BSK 3147" and "Promotional Copy Not for Sale". Some promo copies also include a one sided flyer announcing the shipping date for the album as well as a Story Of The Sex Pistols poster.
