    De appelboom Malus domestica 'Gold Sensation' is een appelboom met een zuilvormige groeiwijze. Hierdoor groeien de appels bijna meteen op de stam en worden er nauwelijks zijtakken gevormd. Daardoor is deze appelboom malus zeer geschikt voor een wat kleinere tuin of in een bloembak op het balkon. De 'Gold Sensation' is een kruising van de appelrassen Wycik (voor de zuilvormige groeiwijze) en Golden Delicious (voor de zoete smaak). De 'Gold Sensation' bloeit in april en mei met witroze bloemen, die uitgroeien tot heerlijke, zoete appels, die rond augustus en september geplukt kunnen worden.

    De appelboom Malus domestica 'Gold Sensation' houdt van een standplaats in de volle zon of lichte schaduw en van een goed waterdoorlatende bodem. Snoeien is bij de malus domestica 'Gold Sensation' nauwelijks of niet nodig.
