Het Portugese wijnhuis Ramos Pinto maakt al sinds 1880 bijzondere portwijnen in de prachtige Douro-vallei. Oprichter Adriano Ramos Pinto was niet alleen een wijnmaker, maar ook een slimme ondernemer: hij was één van de eersten die zijn port actief exporteerde naar Zuid-Amerika, waardoor het huis internationaal bekend werd.
Wat Ramos Pinto extra interessant maakt, is dat ze al vroeg investeerden in eigen wijngaarden. Dat was in die tijd helemaal niet vanzelfsprekend. Door hun eigen druiven te verbouwen, konden ze de kwaliteit van hun port beter controleren – iets waar ze vandaag nog steeds om bekendstaan.
Ramos Pinto staat bekend om verschillende stijlen port:
Ruby Port: fruitig en krachtig, met veel rood fruit.
Tawny Port: rijpt jarenlang op houten vaten en krijgt daardoor een zachtere smaak met tonen van noten en karamel.
Vintage Port: alleen gemaakt in uitzonderlijk goede oogstjaren en kan tientallen jaren rijpen.
Perry van onze wijnleverancier Fourcroy weet er alles over te vertellen. Meld je snel aan voor zondag 22 maart. De proeverij start om 14:00 uur en eindigt rond half 5. De verschilllende ports worden met kleine spijs (denk aan verschillende kaasjes, chocolade) geserveerd.

Tough little toy for super chewers.

Great my two Yorkies. Bought two. So far, still in one piece.
UPDATE: This toy does not stand up to being washed. Since it is a "material" and not rubber, I would advise against buying it if you wash your dog toys. Sorry I bought several.

Not a durable toy.

I was very disappointed in this rope toys. It took one day for my Border Collie to destroy it. The rope is not a durable material at all. I had a rope toy that was like this one several years ago, but it was much more durable. It lasted a couple of years. I think this one would be great for a small puppy, but not for an adult dog. Very disappointing!

Fabulous play!

It is small for my 1 yr old girl boxer... my bad for not reading the product size details. The tug rope is great, but my rough boxer loved it too much and couldn't be trusted with it after much play. This toy opened the door for my purchasing tougher rope pull toys from the same brand.
