Pascal Marchand is een kleine producent met een grote naam. De Canadese dichter trok op zijn 21e richting de Bourgogne waar hij in 1985 wijnmaker was bij Domaine du Comte Armand, Clos des Epeneaux. Hier raakte hij overtuigd van een puur biologische werkwijze, eerlijk voor het land en de druiven. Daarna werd hij in 1999 verantwoordelijk voor het nieuwe Domaine de la Vougeraie in de Bourgogne. Ook hier introduceerde hij de biologische werkwijze. Na wat omzwervingen en consulting klussen, werd in 2006 een eerste stap gezet naar een eigen bedrijf. Enige jaren later (2010) vond hij financiële steun bij de Canadese bankier Moray Tawse, die tevens enige wijngaarden en het domein Maume (Gevrey) aankocht. Naast de 8 ha eigen wijngaarden die biodynamisch bewerkt worden, worden ook biologische druiven van derden gekocht.

In 2018 is de documentary ‘Grand Cru’ over hem opgenomen, absoluut een aanrader

Druivensoort: Chardonnay
In de wijngaard:  Chardonnay van drie verschillende gaarden. Les Grandes Charrons met een klei en kalksteen terroir, Les Petits Charrons met een klei terroir en veel mos en Les Vireuils met een terroir van witte mergel en kalksteen. 
In de kelder: Alcoholische- en malolactische fermentatie op barrique, sur-lie zonder battonage. Druiven met hele trossen en al door de pers. 16 maanden rijping, 80% op Franse eikenhouten vaten en 20% op nieuwe vaten van hout uit de bossen van de Jupilles. Soutirage voor het bottelen. Lichte filtering.

Looks good but the wall anchors is TRASH!

The product is heavy and sturdy once you get it up completely. The issue I have is with the instructions... 1. The 5/16 drill bit is recommends is WAY TO BIG. The Anchors it comes with will slip right through. The screws that is comes with are WAY TO SMALL for the weight. I recommend getting better ones from the hardware store and painting the screws black for better aesthetics. 2. The instructions say to put it together first then hang it on the wall. That is great so you can see where you want to place it and because it is actually bigger than it looks, but you will need to de-assemble it from the bottom shelf down after you mark where you want to place it, then put that part on the wall, then reassemble it from there, securing the top part to the wall last. The instructions sucked but that is what worked best for me. Another thing is when you first assembling it, you will notice that you will have to unscrew it a bit so the pipes can fast the correct way. This will make it feel flimsy, but it will tighten up when you secure it to the wall. Also, like some people said in previous reviews, some of the black paint did peel off the pipes, not to much for me but it was noticeable if you look at it hard enough.

However, its important to note that the wall anchors they provide are way too big for the screws. The screws just fall into the inside of the anchor without even being screwed in. So there's no way you could secure the wall unit with the ones provided. We had to replace the anchors with some I already had. Other than that very happy with the quality and look.
