Met zijn 10,2 cm hoge Koning zijn deze geëboniseerd buxushout-Schaakstukken een welkome aanvulling binnen dit specifieke formaat Schaakstukken. Deze Schaakstukken beginnen hun leven als massieve stukken hout die vakkundig gedraaid en met de hand vervaardigd worden.

Om de zwarte Schaakstukken te creëren, ondergaat een set natuurlijk buxushout een behandeling die ebonisatie heet. Het is een lang en zorgvuldig proces, maar het resultaat is het wachten zeker waard: het geeft de uitstraling van ebbenhout zonder de bijbehorende prijs, en het beschermt het hout bovendien.

Deze Schaakstukken voelen stevig aan in de hand en zien er door hun hoogte en detaillering zeer statig en elegant uit. Deze grote Schaakstukken zijn goed gewogen en natuurlijk gepolijst, met geflockte, plucheachtige bodems in groen. Deze set bevat ook twee extra Dames voor promotie.
