Het BROOKS C15 zadel is het "smalle" model in de Cambium-familie, speciaal ontworpen voor een sportievere en meer geëngageerde zithouding. Als de C17 de koningin van de velotaf is, dan is de C15 voor cyclosportieven en grindliefhebbers die lange uren doorbrengen met hun handen onder aan het stuur.

Dankzij de 140 mm breedte zijn de beenbewegingen volledig vloeiend en is er geen risico op wrijving aan de binnenkant van de dijen wanneer je hard trapt. Net als zijn broers en zussen maakt hij gebruik van gevulkaniseerd natuurrubber: een flexibele structuur die werkt als een ingebouwde schokdemper en onregelmatigheden op de weg of trails opvangt. De technische coating is ontworpen om een leven lang mee te gaan en bestand te zijn tegen UV en vocht zonder ooit zijn vorm te verliezen.

C15 of C17, hoe kies je? De keuze hangt af van je positie. Als je stuur veel lager staat dan je zadel, is de C15 ideaal, omdat deze de pennen ondersteunt zonder de beweging te belemmeren. Als je meer rechtop rijdt (stadspositie), zal de C17 comfortabeler zijn.

Is het glad als ik een korte broek draag? De nylon voering met textuur biedt uitstekende grip. Je glijdt niet naar voren, zelfs niet tijdens hard remmen of intense inspanningen bergop, terwijl je toch je positie kunt aanpassen.

Is het geschikt voor vrouwen? De C15 is een unisex zadel. Maar voor de vrouwelijke anatomie raden we vaak de C17 (breder) of de 'Carved' versies aan om de druk te verlichten. Het hangt allemaal af van de breedte van je heupbotten.

Is het zadel stijf? Het voelt stevig aan, maar zodra je gaat zitten, werkt de structuur. Het is deze gecontroleerde flexibiliteit waar Brooks Cambium zadels bekend om staan, in vergelijking met stijve plastic zadels met schuim.
