What is JLM PAT Fluid?
JLM PAT Fluid is a fuel borne catalyst designed as an aftermarket replacement for diesel particulate filter additives used to aid regeneration of particulate filters fitted to diesel vehicles.The JLM PAT Fluid is equal in performance to Eolys products supplied by Citroen/Peugeot.
Where can this fluid be used?
PSA vehicles - Citroen, Peugeot etc - (also some Ford, Volvo) have an active on board additive system (see below) with its own tank & pump system that automatically doses the correct amount of additive to the diesel fuel.
The active system comprises of:
- a filter located in the exhaust between the engine & muffler
- a fuel additive dosing system
- sensors located near the diesel particulate filter.
Why should you use JLM PAT fluid?
This active type relies on the additive to:
- lower the ignition temperature of the soot particles
- monitor the load of the diesel particulate filter with sensors along with the engine management system
- trigger a DPF regeneration process for cleaning the diesel particulate filter of particulates by altering engine timing & fuel flow settings.
How does it work?
The porous filter substrate has many small holes for trapping the diesel particulates & needs to be regenerated or cleaned regularly. The diesel particulate filter is then heated to around 600c ,burning off the particulates, leaving the diesel particulate filter ready to take in more exhaust gases for treatment.
The additive is stored in a separate tank and is mixed automatically with the fuel when you fill up. This system needs filling up of the additive dosing tank with special JLM PAT Fluid & equipment that involve system resetting & should be carried out by mechanics only, these systems now only require fluid refills at around 120,000 km.

Amazing blanket. The black color matches with the black comforter underneath. It's incredibly warm and soft and doesn't have any. It's quality is absolutely worth the cost. Absolutely love! Super soft. Super warm. It’s not super heavy which I personally like. I like to just have my throws around my upper body so I don’t over heat. There was A LOT of shedding, not sure why, a lot of little fluffs came off but vacuumed that up and it’s fine now. Slept with it tonight and it’s perfect.
