The falconer stands in front of a low [ghaf?] tree, holding a peregrine falcon on a mangalah (cuff) on his arm. The falcon perches on the mangalah facing forward, with its head looking back over its shoulder. The falconer has a short dark beard and wears a khanjar (dagger) on a belt over his light coloured thobe (long shirt). He also wears a ghutra (headscarf) tied closely around his head. This image was taken between December 20, 1948, and January 27, 1949, during which time Wilfred Thesiger stayed with Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in Al Ain and joined him on a number of hunting excursions.Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.

Good finish, poor hardware.
Set screws are poor quality and are sometimes powdercoated on the exposed threads. Leads to striped hex sockets and inability to tighten properly.
Durable finish as evidenced by no visible damage after throwing parts across the shop in frustration.
Ended up running self tapping screws thru parts to complete assembly.

Great look and storage space
I've had these shelves for two years now, and still love them. I love the industrial style. They add lots of great storage space for a small apartment. I have two sets - one for the laundry room and the other as a linen closet. Assembly is okay. Make sure you follow the instructions.
