DVDBTN REVIEW: Bhutan Land of the Thunder Dragon
One of my favorite books growing up was James Hilton's Lost Horizon, in which survivors from a plane crash on the Tibetan plateau find themselves in Shangri-la, a mythical city where no one ever ages.

In 1996, while visiting the Himalayan kingdom of Nepal, I met some fellow travelers who talked about the real shangri-la, a living museum called Bhutan, where the people still followed the ways of their ancestors by growing their own food, spinning and dying their own thread, and making their own clothes.  In Bhutan- Land of the Thunder Dragon, filmmakers Jim and Kelly Watt- who were allowed unprecedented access to this remote and isolated country (in fact, Bhutan's king has only recently opened the borders to tourism) located between Tibet and India- provide viewers with a colorful and insightful look at this little-known society where the people still wear (admittedly by order of law) their traditional garments and live by the same Buddhist precepts as their forefathers.

Nicely shot, and completely devoid of the Western prejudices found in similar productions, this lovely travel video shows Bhutan for what it is: a jewel of the Himalayan range. Sure to be a popular addition, this off the beaten track travelogue is definitely recommended. Aud: H, P. (J. Asala) (4 stars=Excellent, highest rating)

DVDBTN REVIEW: Bhutan...Land of the Thunder Dragon
Gr 8 Up--This leisurely tour of India's neighbor, Bhutan, A Himalayan monarchy the size of Switzerland, introduces a country that has changed minimally in hundreds of years.

Recently, along with roads and TV, the country is encouraging tourism. Scenery includes 25,000 feet high mountains, dramatic waterfalls, forests rich in diverse plants and animals, 16th century fortresses, and Buddhist temples. In primitive villages, it's a subsistence living with people growing or making almost everything they use.  There are scenes of homebuilding, farming, weaving, a school and local markets. A tourist fishing and a national archery competition round out the tour. It would have been interesting to see where and how the king lives, but that might have sounded a negative note in this touristic overview.

A narrator describes the varied scenes with some comments by a national. The photography is excellent; there is some spectacular scenery, but there are also slow sections showing farming and other basic activities.  While this is more of a video to attract tourists than an educational production, it does provide a picture of a unique country that Americans know very little about-(Anitra Gordon, Lincoln High School, Ypsilanti, MI)

Doesn't slip down
Size: XX-Large, Color: Black
Holds up very well for day to day work and doesn't slip down. Came with straps as well. Material feels great. I would base sizing off of your usual band size more than cup. Got a XXL when measured I'm usually a 38B or 36C and those sizes are too small to be comfortable and it said I'd match with a large so I went up based upon my bra experiences. Pink color isn't really a good pink tone more closer to nude and dull if anything. But all the other styles and colors are great. It feels very supportive and covers all the right places while smoothing out back rolls. It's a good stretch when you put it on to and then conforms to the chest. Pads are a little over the place but they're removable so that's expected.

An excellent strapless option
Size: XX-Large, Color: Nude
Extremely comfortable! It didn’t slip down like some do, so I don’t feel the need to tug it up. Felt like I wasn’t wearing anything at all. I also like that it comes with optional straps. Great coverage. The two things to watch for is the top seam is a little thick, so it won’t work under thin tops, and the pads will move around, but they are easy to adjust or remove. On the whole I find this a great fit and easy to wear, at an excellent price point.

Great!
Size: XX-Large, Color: Nude
REVIEW FROM A REAL PERSON WITH NO FINANCIAL INCENTIVES This is my first time ever wearing a strapless bra and I really like this one! It's very comfy and feels like wearing any other sports bra just, well, without the straps (though they do include straps in the box that you could attach if you wanted). I'm somewhere around a 40DDD and got a 2x and it fits well, though I did wear it to work one day and by the end of the day, it did feel like it was digging/squeezing into my side a bit too much (however it had been 10hrs by then). The bra IS stretchy but if I were really any bigger, I think I'd want to go to a 3x. Only very minor issues with it slipping, nothing even close to where I was worried anything was going to pop out or anything, even after being out in 90F heat.

Stays in place
Size: Medium, Color: White
I’d give the Letts Jolli Push-Up Strapless Bra a solid 3 stars. The fabric quality is actually really nice—it feels soft, smooth, and comfortable against the skin, which is a big plus for something strapless. It also does a great job staying in place. I didn’t have to constantly adjust or worry about it slipping down throughout the day, which is usually my biggest concern with strapless bras. That said, the “push-up” aspect was a bit disappointing. It didn’t really provide much lift or enhancement like I expected, so if you’re looking for noticeable cleavage, this might fall short. Overall, it’s comfortable and reliable for staying put, but it doesn’t quite deliver on the push-up promise.

It holds the girls up!
Size: Large, Color: Nude
This is absolutely the best strapless bra I have ever owned! It stays put, doesn’t ride up or ride down & I don’t have to adjust it. It fits true to size. Worth the money! It’s also not the sexiest bra, but when you just want a strapless bra that holds the girls up, I promise it will do that!
