G-16A 2P 2-Pole Circuit Breaker

GigaWatt G-16A 2P is a 2-POLE circuit breaker intended to provide protection to circuits within low-voltage electrical equipment 110-230VAC. It is used as an element of additional overload protection of GigaWatt conditioner or power strip only.

FEATURES

  • provides additional protection against overloading the GigaWatt power line allows to connect the highest quality power cable - LC-Y EVO
  • improves sound quality

GigaWatt G-16A 2P is a 2-POLE circuit breaker intended to provide protection to circuits within low-voltage electrical equipment 110-230VAC. It is used as an element of additional overload protection of GigaWatt LC-Y EVO cable power lines and GigaWatt power conditioners or power strips only. The G-16A 2P breaker is tested to DIN EN 60934 (VDE 0642):2013-11; EN 60934:2001+A1:2007+A2:2013 (circuits-breakers for household and similar applications) and must be used together with a main short-circuit protective device (SCPD) in front of it.

The 2P version has two working contact pins, and protects (cuts off) both the phase conductor and the neutral.

New type of breaker have a much greater resistance to the value of the instantaneous starting current (Hi-Inrush) than discontinued G-C20A 2P circuit breaker. This is extremely important due to the fact that audio-video devices (especially power-consuming power amplifiers) have different load characteristics from ordinary household power receivers. When the amplifier is turned on within the first milliseconds, the current consumed by such a receiver (starting current) can be up to 25 times higher than the current consumption during normal operation. The high inrush current causes the contacts in fuses and circuit breakers to burn, and consequently damage them.

This device is manufactured in the USA by Carling Technologies, according to GigaWatt specifications. It plays the role of an element controlling the value of current flowing through the power line in audio-video installations. The hydraulic-magnetic switch contains, among others, an induction coil that generates a magnetic field proportional to the current flowing through it. After exceeding a certain current value, the magnetic field causes the switch to operate precisely at the right time by opening the contacts and disconnecting the protected circuit from the current.

The advanced construction of the switch contains an innovative coil system, which has a core moving in a non-magnetic tube filled with special, oily fluid. This fluid can have different density, what allows for precise regulation of the delay characteristic and controlling the switching-off process. The switch is designed to ignore swift, peak load changes, which would trigger standard protection, and activates only when safe values are exceeded. This allows switching on inrush currents up to twenty five times higher than the nominal current (400A), which guarantees many years of failure-free operation.

The G-16A 2P installation switch does not have the typical shortcomings of thermal or case fuses, which are the result of their simple construction. All fuses - even the audiophile ones - besides the obvious protection capabilities, have one main weak point, which excludes them from usage in audio gear - they throttle the full power applied to the circuit. This flaw is the consequence of the very small diameter of the protective element, usually a thin copper, or silver wire - things the GigaWatt switch does not have.

The overcurrent switch G-16A 2P excels with a very solid construction, high quality of internal elements, resistance to vibration and working stability independent of the ambient temperature. The casing of the switch is made from black phenol-formaldehyde resin, what guarantees high rigidity. It is also fire proof, melt proof, antistatic, has a low electric and heat conductivity with relatively high mechanical resistance. Internal components, which take part in current conduction, are made from copper details and connectors with large cross-section, the coil itself is made from thick, copper wire, which does not cause any throttling or losses. The main contact elements are made from silver with a large contact surface.

The switch should be mounted on a standard DIN rail, and it can be connected to bare wire or spade connectors. The construction of the switch prevents the contact of the palm or fingers with live connection elements.

CAUTION: TIGHTENING MAX TORQUE 1.7-2.3 Nm. Do not exceed the tightening force specified in the description. This may result in damage to the thread.

NOTE: Installation works exposes to direct contact with potentially lethal voltage. There is risk of an electric shock! All activities related to installation can only be made by a qualified personnel following appropriate regulations (DIN VDE 0100 and IEC 664 or DIN VDE 0110). Won’t Fit No Matter What
Size: 9.5, Color: Cs05 White, Size: 9.5, Color: Cs05 White
These shoes don’t stretch so I was unable to get my foot in the shoe. They are my size, but the opening has no stretch so you can’t get your foot in the shoe. I tried several different ways and then realized even though the shoe is the correct size, the opening was too small. They made the opening for the shoe probably the same size on all shoes, so unless you have kids feet you won’t even be able to slide them on. I’ve never had a shoe I couldn’t get on. I’ve worn Sketchers no problem. This is design flaw and I highly recommend you don’t buy!

Great Fit, Lightweight, and Totally Quiet
Size: 11, Color: New Black05
Great fit and very comfortable once you pick the right size. Lightweight, breathable, and completely silent on hard floors. No squeaks or “suction” sounds like some reviews claimed. Normal packaging, normal opening, no issues at all. Excellent value for the price.

Most comfortable shoes I've ever worn
Size: 11, Color: New Black05
First off, I was not expecting much buying a no-name shoe online, especially for the price. Boy was I in for a surprise... I've owned these for almost a full year, and can confidently say these are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I normally wear a size 11 and these fit me perfectly. Prior to this the most comfortable shoes I had were some Cole Haans with the Nike air technology. These shoes are so lightweight, so comfortable, I can wear them all day long without feeling a thing. Whenever I (rarely) need to wear a different pair of shoes, I am immediately reminded of how much I used to hate wearing shoes and couldn't wait to take them off. Based on the price, I expected them to wear down quickly. However they are still going strong. Running, hiking, long walks, biking, worn to office / casual events. These shoes have been soaked in mud multiple times, but clean up easily by just throwing them in the washing machine and then the dryer. The soles and the insoles have both worn down a bit over the past year; at this rate I expect to get 1.5 to 2 years out of them before needing to be replaced. So far I must have put at least a thousand miles on these shoes based on how much I wear them. They look good too. I have the all-black pair, and they look decent with jeans and a button up shirt for a night out, but also look natural in an athletic setting with shorts and no socks. Very versatile and subtle. Now for the cons, which are minor. The pattern on the bottom of the sole is prone to some squeaking/suction sounds at first. However after about a month some of the ridges wore down just enough that it was no longer a problem. Second: they are not as breathable as I would have liked. For example, when running or biking, you don't feel any air on your feet. Wearing them out in the sun on a hot summer day, your feet will get a bit stuffy. In fact the fabric is woven tight enough that I wear them in the winter and in the rain, and don't get too cold or wet. So I do wish they made a more breathable version for summer time use. All that being said, these are still the best pair of shoes I've ever had. Ultra light weight, comfortable, and can be worn all day long without feeling any fatigue whatsoever. --- UPDATE: It's been 1 year and 9 months, and the soles on these shoes are fully worn out and ready for replacement. Considering I've put between 1,000-2,000 miles of walking in these, that's pretty good. If anyone from Feethit is reading this, here are my top suggestions to perfect this shoe: 1) Easy fix - change the tread pattern. The current pattern causes suction cup effect on hard floors until it starts to wear down. Simply add some gaps in the circle pattern in the tread and it will remedy that issue. 2) Most importantly, put a thin piece of durable rubber on the bottom of the sole. The sole does wear down after some time and lose traction, especially on smooth wet floors (e.g. in the rain, in a kitchen, etc.). A thin piece of durable rubber would add more traction and also extend the life of the cushion-like sole (which is fantastic, don't change it!). This would easily be worth an extra $5-$10 in the price.
