Created in rich 18 carat gold and weighing over 9 grams, the ring has all the qualities collectors look for in a classic signet ring. At the centre is a magnificent ruby weighing 0.91 carats, set within a star setting. The vibrant ruby provides a striking focal point, its  almost raspberry hue glowing beautifully against the warm gold surround. Star set gemstones have long been favoured in antique jewellery, allowing the stone to appear as though it is radiating light from within the gold itself.

Due to the ruby's impressive size and rarity within this style of ring, we have had the stone independently certified. Most notably, the report found no evidence of treatment, a highly desirable and increasingly uncommon feature. The vast majority of rubies encountered on the market today have undergone some form of enhancement, making an untreated example of this calibre particularly special.
