Victron 12V 160Ah Lead Carbon Deep Cycle Battery: Advanced Energy Storage for Intensive Cycling

Engineered for Superior Partial State-of-Charge Performance and Extended Cycle Life

The Victron 12V 160Ah Lead Carbon Deep Cycle Battery is purpose-built for demanding off-grid and renewable energy systems where frequent deep discharges are the norm. By integrating lead carbon technology into the negative plate, this battery significantly reduces sulfation and enhances charge acceptance, making it a reliable choice for applications such as solar storage, marine house banks, and backup power. Unlike conventional AGM or gel batteries, the lead carbon composite maintains performance even when operating in a partial state-of-charge (PSOC) for extended periods, a common scenario in solar-powered installations.

With a nominal capacity of 160Ah at C20 and a robust cycle life exceeding 500 cycles at 100% depth of discharge (DoD), this battery is designed to endure rigorous daily cycling. Its sealed VRLA construction ensures maintenance-free operation and allows flexible mounting, while the integrated rope carry handles and M8 terminals (Approx. 5/16"-18) simplify installation and transport. Whether you're upgrading a caravan power system or building a remote off-grid setup, this battery delivers consistent, long-lasting energy.

Lead Carbon Technology: Solving the Sulfation Challenge

Traditional lead acid batteries often fail prematurely due to sulfation of the negative plate, especially when left in a discharged state or cycled at partial charge. The Victron Lead Carbon battery addresses this by replacing the active material of the negative plate with a lead carbon composite. This innovation offers three key benefits:

  • Reduced Sulfation: The carbon additive inhibits the growth of hard sulfate crystals, preserving capacity even after prolonged PSOC operation.
  • Improved Charge Efficiency: Lower charge voltage requirements (14.1–14.4V absorption) reduce corrosion on the positive plate and minimise energy loss.
  • Extended Cycle Life: Proven to withstand over 500 cycles at 100% DoD, with even greater longevity at shallower discharges (≥1000 cycles at 60% DoD, ≥1400 cycles at 40% DoD).

These characteristics make the battery particularly effective in solar systems where daily charging may be inconsistent, ensuring reliable performance without the need for frequent full recharges.

Built for Real-World Demands

Weighing 55 kg and measuring 532 x 207 x 226 mm, this battery is substantial yet manageable, aided by heavy-duty rope handles. The M8 insert terminals (Approx. 5/16"-18) provide secure, low-resistance connections for high-current applications. The sealed, non-spillable case allows installation in various orientations, adding flexibility for tight compartments in boats or vehicles.

Key specifications include a CCA rating of 600A at 0°F and a reserve capacity of 290 minutes at 80°F, ensuring dependable starting power and sustained energy delivery. The recommended float voltage of 13.5–13.8V and storage voltage of 13.2–13.5V help maintain battery health during idle periods.

Ideal Applications

  • Off-Grid Solar Systems: Perfect for daily cycling in solar installations, where PSOC operation is common.
  • Marine and RV House Banks: Powers lights, pumps, and electronics reliably, even after deep discharges.
  • Backup Power: Provides dependable energy storage for critical loads during grid outages.
  • Industrial and Remote Monitoring: Suitable for remote equipment, telecommunications, and security systems.

Note: For optimal lifespan, adhere to recommended charge parameters and avoid prolonged storage in a discharged state. Typical de-rating factors apply for temperature and discharge rates.

Upgrade Your Energy Storage Today

Choose the Victron 12V 160Ah Lead Carbon Deep Cycle Battery for a durable, high-cycle solution that thrives under demanding conditions. Order now to enhance your off-grid power reliability.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.
