Splints in back of the belt add an extra layer of support allowing you to brace into the belt and therefore stabilize your spine for extra protection. The belt is generally suitable for many strength sports, from bodybuilding to stron(wo)man, as it supports without much restriction of movement and additionally keeps the lower back warm due to the neoprene material. With 7mm thick neoprene, this model provides additional stability compared to the 5mm version.
