Our custom-spun single-ply merino is grown on small farms in the Rockies and milled in North Carolina. The yarn is hand-dyed at our studio in North Adams with acid dyes using processes that are gentle to the environment. The yarn is untreated so it must be washed by hand or it will felt. Though a single you will find it strong as our dyeing process very gently felts the yarn making it durable enough to handle the maneuvering of cables, lace and of course, tinking. Fiber: Single ply 100% US Merino Wool (mulesing-free) Care: Hand Wash Ball Size: 100g/3.53 oz - 393 meters/430 yards Yarn Weight: Fingering Gauge: 24-28 sts/28-36 rows over 4" on US3 (3.25mm) - US7 (4.5mm) needles.Shipping Notes

Size is great, I wanted to use as a throw on a leather ottoman and it fit great. It isn’t exactly the color I expected but it is a neutral cream. Soft and comfortable. Well made.

Is super soft and works for elderly

My mom has been ill and confined to her recliner for sleeping. She developed pressure sores and was in a great deal of pain. We needed to treat the sores and I researched how to prevent in first place and found that genuine sheepskin helps. I had no idea this was a thing. I ordered this for her recliner and a seat one for the car. She loves this. She said she could feel an immediate difference in sitting for so long that she didn't need to shift constantly. I don't understand the mechanics behind why this works but I'm grateful for something natural and affordable like this to offer such relief.
