After eavesdropping on Gandalf`s conversation with Frodo about the "One Ring", the gardening Hobbit, also known as Sam, was appointed by the wizard as Frodo`s traveling companion on his quest to Rivendell. Extremely loyal and faithful to his best friend, he refuses to let Frodo go alone to Mordor to destroy Sauron`s mighty ring on Mount Doom, staying with his friend throughout his journey, protecting him, facing terrible dangers and adversity. In Minas Moria, a member of the so-called Fellowship of the Ring, a support group in Frodo`s journey to destroy The Ring and defeat the Dark Lord, he faced the Orcs` attack alongside the other members of the group. On a base that resembles the petrified ground, this statue is part of a diorama scenario that replicates this emblematic battle presented in "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring", adapted for cinema by Peter Jackson in 2001.
