Victron Skylla-i 24/100 (1+1): Professional 24V 100A Battery Charger for Marine, Off-Grid, and Industrial Applications

Advanced Multi-Stage Charging with Dual Isolated Outputs

The Victron Skylla-i 24/100 (1+1) is a high-performance 24V 100A battery charger engineered for demanding environments where reliability and precise charge control are critical. Featuring two isolated outputs, it delivers a full 100 A to the main battery bank while providing a dedicated 4 A output to maintain a starter battery, making it an ideal solution for marine battery charging, off-grid power systems, and industrial backup applications.

Built on Victron's proven Skylla-i platform, this charger combines adaptive 7-stage charging with advanced communication capabilities, ensuring optimal battery health and longevity for lead-acid and lithium-ion chemistries alike.

Intelligent Adaptive Charging for Maximum Battery Life

Unlike conventional chargers with fixed absorption times, the Skylla-i employs variable absorption technology that automatically adjusts the charge cycle based on depth of discharge. After shallow discharges, absorption time is minimised to prevent overcharging; following deep discharges, it extends to ensure complete recharge. This adaptive approach significantly reduces battery wear and extends service life.

The integrated BatterySafe mode prevents excessive gassing by limiting voltage rise once the gassing threshold is reached, protecting sealed batteries from damage during high-current charging. For extended idle periods, the Storage mode reduces float voltage to 26.4 V and performs a weekly refresh cycle to prevent electrolyte stratification and sulphation, two leading causes of premature battery failure.

Rugged Construction for Harsh Environments

Encased in a durable aluminium housing with epoxy powder coating and a drip shield, the Skylla-i is purpose-built to withstand heat, humidity, and salt-laden air. Stainless steel fixings and acrylic-coated circuit boards provide superior corrosion resistance, while internal temperature sensors automatically derate output current under extreme conditions to protect power components. This makes it a trusted choice for marine battery chargers and coastal installations.

Flexible Configuration and System Integration

Setup is straightforward via a rotary switch, DIP switches, and potentiometers, allowing precise adaptation to specific battery types and operating conditions. For advanced integration, the VE.Can (NMEA2000) interface with dual RJ45 connectors enables synchronised parallel operation of multiple chargers, remote monitoring, and full CAN bus control for lithium-ion battery management systems.

The charger also supports voltage sense to compensate for cable losses, ensuring the battery receives the correct charge voltage regardless of installation distance. A remote on/off port allows direct connection to a Li-Ion BMS for simple charge control.

Key Features

  • 100 A charge current for main battery banks up to 1000 Ah, with a 4 A auxiliary output for starter batteries
  • Adaptive 7-stage charge algorithm optimised for lead-acid batteries, with dedicated Li-Ion profiles
  • VE.Can (NMEA2000) communication for synchronised parallel operation and BMS integration
  • BatterySafe and Storage modes prevent gassing and sulphation during idle periods
  • Temperature-compensated charging with included sensor for sealed batteries and fluctuating environments
  • Dual-use capability: functions as a stabilised power supply when batteries are disconnected
  • Wide input range: accepts 185-265 VAC or 180-350 VDC for AC-DC and DC-DC operation

Designed for Demanding Applications

Whether you are maintaining a large house bank on a cruising yacht, powering a remote telecommunications site, or building a resilient off-grid energy system, the Skylla-i 24/100 delivers the precision and durability required. Its ability to operate from both AC and DC sources adds flexibility for hybrid installations, while the IP21-rated enclosure with forced cooling ensures reliable performance in engine rooms and equipment shelters.

With a power factor of 0.98 and high efficiency, this charger minimises generator run time and reduces energy costs compared to less sophisticated units. The M8 bolt battery connections (approx. 8 mm) and screw-clamp AC terminals (10 mm² or AWG 7) simplify installation with heavy-duty cabling.

Upgrade Your Charging Infrastructure

Equip your system with the Victron Skylla-i 24/100 (1+1) for professional-grade battery management that protects your investment and ensures dependable power availability. Order today to experience the difference adaptive, multi-stage charging makes in demanding environments.

Heavy Chewer Approved!
If you have a heavy chewer, this toy is perfect! We have gone through so many toys with our German Shepherd mix that we started to just tell ourselves every two weeks we’d have to be spending $50 on toys. We actually got this as a gift and wow! It’s absolutely blown us away. Not only is it incredibly durable, but our dog absolutely loves it. It’s so easy to stuff treats in there and it keeps him occupied sometimes for close to an hour which, if you have an active dog, you know anything over 20 minutes is a bargain! It is certainly well worth the money, very chew resistant, and basically silent. The loudest thing you might hear is your dog licking or tossing it around in an attempt to get the treats out. I highly recommend stuffing it with a soft chewy cookie because the crunchy ones are just gonna leave crumbs everywhere. I also recommend washing it every other week just to keep buildup from happening deep within the grooves. Note: if you can’t find it, I guarantee you it has rolled under your couch. We ended up buying a second one because we searched high and low for our missing pickle pocket. Naturally, as soon as the second one arrived, the first one was found leisurely lounging just out of reach in the dark depths of our couch’s underbelly.

This toy is awesome. It keeps my dog occupied for a good amount of time, which is hard to do! Pretty much any other toy I've gotten for my dogs, they've easily destroyed. The only other toy that they've enjoyed is the KONG Extreme Dog Toy, Large, Black . However, he has have gotten the hang of it and it only takes about 10-15 minutes to get out any treats inside. Also it has a rubbery smell that I don't particularly like. There are three different slits in this pickle toy. For my dog, it takes about 20-30 minutes to work on it and get the treats outs. The crevices are thin enough that it takes them some time to work at it, but flexible enough that you can use pretty much any treat in there. I think the toy is pretty resilient and durable. My dog can chew through anything. I was a bit afraid that they would become frustrated if they couldn't get the treats out that they would just bite through the toy instead. I've had these toys for 2 weeks and so far it's held up without any bite marks or parts chewed off. That's saying a lot. My Malinois even enjoys it without any treats inside. She'll bring it to me like a regular toy. It is a bit on the heavy side so I don't like throwing it around the house, however. Every dog is different but I have to say my dogs really enjoy this. I recommend this toy, and plan on trying out the other Starmark toys.

RECOMMENDED!!
I purchased this for my 68lb Staffy (but really, all our dogs share/ rotate) because the one he had been using wasn’t very challenging and this one looked like it might force him to work a little harder to get the treats out. I was right! He LOVES it - I love it - they ALL love it! There are 3 fairly deep crevices the you can push small treats down into so the dog has to lick them out (you could also use organic peanut butter - *I don’t recommend ever giving dogs any other type of PB as it contains too much salt, sugar, GMOs & preservatives). I take about 10 or so small “squishy” treats and stuff them as far down as I can and he works for almost an hour to lick them until they’re gooey (LOL) enough to be licked out! My other dogs do the same! All our dogs are rescued and “pitbull types” (except one small breed), so they’re strong chewers, but NOT destructive. ****I frequently see people in reviews complaining that their dog destroyed a toy made for “strong chewers.” There’s a HUGE difference between strong and destructive!! Mine are strong chewers, and we like to keep Benebones around here for the times they have the need/instinct to chew (which often!), but they are not destructive dogs. If you have a destructive dog, there is likely no toy on earth they won’t leave in pieces. Destructive dogs are often that way because their breed/age/required needs aren’t being met, so naturally they attempt to release that pent up energy onto toys (or even furniture/shoes/etc. It’s not the dog’s fault. It’s definitely not a manufacturer’s or seller’s fault. #1 Rule: Know your dog!! If they destroy most toys within minutes, they’re likely lacking exercise. If you’re exercising them to their breed & age requirements and they’re still destructive, you can work on either behavior modification or finding toys that they CAN’T destroy. Benebones, Nylabones, etc are great because they are very well made and even as the dogs chew little pieces off, it creates edges that clean their teeth. Win-Win!! These are things we’ve learned from running a canine rescue & rehab for over 20 years, which means fostering dogs of all backgrounds, personalities, ages and needs (90% of which are pibbles).

Almost the best, and great price point...
I love this toy - I give it to my toughest chewer stuffed up with kibble and p-butter that I've frozen an hour or two - and it's cool to play with unfilled too, as it's pliable and soft/bouncy while being also very durable. Starmark is my 3rd of 3 name brands I will buy for my dogs, due to my need for durability for tough chewers thus limiting what toys/brands I can even pick from (West Paw is one I'm now just trying, and Outward Hound is my usual go to over the years), and to be honest, between price and availability, I really want to move Starmark to my number 1 go to but....from what I can tell, the other two companies have great policies about releasing what/where their products are made (of), and I cannot seem to find out whether or not Starmark is also i.e. food-grade and/or whether they have a guarrented return policy or not so....a star off for that until/unless I can assure myself and you, reader, that the quality is just as good as the other two companies. To be fair though, and due to not being able to find any info on material qualities, this IS the one and only toy I have used, but they are also often sold at many local stores and so many of the other treat-toys in this brand have caught my eye, as far as types of toys available and ease to find if/when a replacement (or double to ship to my sister's dog!) is needed. I am thinking that, from what I've seen/felt at local stores for this brand, the durability is likely on par so...again, all going back to the material choice and manufacturing info, for me, that prevents this being a full 5 stars.

Keeps even the most destructive dogs entertained
I was hesitant to make this purchase but after I bought the starmark everlasting chew ball (which I also highly recommend), I gave this one a try. I was surprised how heavy it was, definitely only to be thrown outside as it is made out of solid rubber and could easily go through the tv screen if not careful. My dog is extremely destructive and this not only is very durable, it also keeps him entertained for up to 30 minutes at a time. I have not used the star mark treats specifically designed for it, but regular kibble fits into the grooves just fine. Also, if you put small pieces of chick-fil-a waffle fries, dogs go nuts for it. UPDATE: This toy keeps my rambunctious beagle mix entertained better and longer than any other interactive dog toys I have bought. Of all the toys my dog currently owns, (Starmark Bob-A-lot, Trixie Chess board, Starmark Treat-Dispensing chew ball, and several Kongs) this toy is by far his favorite and keeps him occupied while I get work done around the house, distraction-free. Because of it's made of such dense material, I do have one potential concern: since it's approximately the same size/weight as a full beer bottle) this toy might not be the best fetching choice if your dog is quick and tries to catch balls/frisbees in mid-air since it could bust up his/her head and teeth with it's momentum if he caught it wrong. - But if you don't plan on using this toy for fetching, it is a fantastic purchase for your furry pal.
