The Riot Low Profile Functional Trainer – Compact Rack-Integrated Cable System

Availability expected from October 2026.

The Riot Low Profile Functional Trainer is a compact, rack-integrated cable system designed to deliver the full training capability of a commercial functional trainer while occupying minimal floor space. Engineered to mount directly to a wall or integrate into Riot MRR racks and Riot Rig systems, it provides a versatile cable training solution without requiring a standalone footprint.

Unlike traditional cable crossover machines that dominate valuable gym floor space, this design keeps the frame projection extremely low while maintaining full functionality. The main structure extends only around 400 mm from the wall, with the lat pulldown pulley extending 705 mm, making it ideal for strength facilities, performance gyms, personal training studios, and home gym installations where space efficiency matters.

At its core, the system uses two independent 100 kg weight stacks with 5 kg increments, providing smooth and precise load adjustments for both strength training and functional exercises. The cable system combines 2:1 and 1:1 pulley ratios, allowing the machine to optimise cable travel and resistance for different movements.

The dual adjustable cable trolleys operate on a 2:1 ratio, offering longer cable travel and smoother resistance curves. This makes them ideal for movements such as cable crossovers, functional pressing patterns, rotational exercises, and dynamic training where extended range of motion is required.

For heavier strength movements with shorter ranges of motion, the machine features 1:1 ratio stations including the lat pulldown and the low row. This provides higher effective resistance and allows users to utilise the full weight stack when performing compound pulling exercises.

The lat pulldown station is powered by the right weight stack, while the low row station, complete with an integrated footplate, operates from the left stack. This separation allows simultaneous training and enables superset-based programming in high-performance training environments.

The centre structure uses a 75 × 75 mm steel upright with 17 mm holes and 50 mm spacing, fully matching the Riot MRR rack standard. This allows the system to integrate seamlessly with Riot racks and rig components while supporting adjustable attachments such as the included seat, leg rollers, and chest/back support pad.

These attachments mount directly to the centre post and are individually adjustable, enabling a wide range of exercises including seated lat pulldowns, supported rows, triceps pushdowns, and core work.

The pulley system uses aluminium pulleys and stainless steel guide rails, ensuring smooth cable travel and long-term durability under continuous use. The cast iron weight stacks provide reliable load consistency while the robust steel frame ensures structural stability once properly mounted.

The Riot Low Profile Functional Trainer enables free-plane cable movement through 360° adjustable pulleys, allowing exercises to be performed in virtually any direction. This makes it suitable for cable crossover movements, fly variations, rotational core training, and sport-specific strength development.

The system is designed for commercial gym environments, strength facilities, and advanced home gyms seeking a cable training solution that integrates directly with rack infrastructure.

IMPORTANT

The Riot Low Profile Functional Trainer is not a standalone machine. It must be securely mounted to a wall or rack structure before use.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.
