The ground below the camel is covered in fine sand dotted with small vegetation. This image was taken during Wilfred Thesiger's week and a half long sailing trip around the Abu Dhabi Islands with Sheikh Hazaa bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Sheikh Khalid bin Sultan Al Nahyan and their retainers in March 1948.Due to the nature of these images, prints will reproduce any signs of age, wear or damage that occurred before they were archived by the Pitt Rivers Museum.

Excellent Rug & Unbeatable Customer Service!

I absolutely love this rug! It has completely transformed my living room—it looks surprisingly glam and feels wonderfully soft underfoot.
The feature that really sold me was that it's fully washable. I was nervous about cleaning it, but the process was surprisingly easy. I strongly recommend skipping the dryer and letting it air dry. I simply hung mine over my shower door, and it was completely dry overnight. I used a brush to gently separate the fibers, leaving it looking just as vibrant and feeling just as soft as it did when new.
Additionally, I had an interaction with their customer support team, and they were fantastic. They responded to my inquiry quickly, were respectful, and resolved my issue completely and professionally.
I highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a beautiful, practical, and soft rug with stellar customer service backing it up. Five stars!
