For many, New York City is the center of the universe. Global headquarters for some of the world's most distinguished corporations and home of the United Nations, New York Stock Exchange, theaters, museums, subways and so much more - there's no place on earth quite like the Big Apple. Most people first think of the hustle and bustle of New York City, but forget there are also neighborhoods, farmers markets and of course, Central Park that give the city personality. At 2am the Fulton Fish Market is a bustling center of commerce with a community of vendors that love what they do.

"Tribute", created after 9/11, is a multi-media events space and high tech museum that celebrates the power, creativity and resilience of the city. A tour of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island Immigration Museum reminds what America is all about and the thousands of immigrants who came to this country to begin new lives. The apple orchards of the Hudson Valley are where the Big Apple claimed its name and the mounded apple pie from Tantillo's Fruit Stand is pretty big too.

Down the road, the historic Huguenot village of New Paltz has buildings from several centuries all on one street. Everything from miniatures to monuments can be cast at Tallix Art Foundry where artists come to bring their works of sculpture to life. Saratoga Springs is a proud and prosperous community that has managed to preserve an aura of sophistication and fine living through its mineral springs and horse racing. The largest state park in USA, Adirondack State Park with over 6 million acres. So remote an area, Old Forge Mail Boat delivers to some lakeside residents.

The Erie Canal was once a major transportation artery between New York City and the Great Lakes. Its Locks are still functional and in great shape due to the diligent efforts of the lock keepers. They keep coming back for more! Home made cookies at the Fly By Night Cookie Company keep Bonnie Bridson busy in the kitchen. A journey through this diverse state would not be complete without a visit to Niagara Falls including a ride on the "Maid of the Mists" tour boat to get up close and personal with the amazing falls and fireworks over Manhattan is a sight to behold.

DVDDANY REVIEW: Discoveries America, New York
"Beginning with a look at New York City landmarks such as Central Park, the Fulton Fish Market, the Statue of Liberty, and offering a tribute to the World Trade Center, Discoveries America, New York then moves on to explore "upstate" wonders. New Paltz, for example, presents a rare look at Huguenot culture, while Saratoga Springs maintains its area of culture and refinement (not to mention being a huge racetrack draw for equine fans) and offers visitors a chance to soak in its famous mineral springs.

Residents of remote areas of America's largest state park - the 6-million-plus acre Adirondack State Park - are still served by mail boats, and speaking of waterways, tourists can cruise along the historic Erie Canal from New York City to the Great Lakes. Finally, no trip to the Empire State would be complete without a visit to one of the natural wonders of the world: Niagara Falls. Recommended."

Great quality! Sounds great and we’ll built!
I’ve owned a couple of these larger Bluetooth “party” speakers and this is by far the best sounding and well built one I’ve owned. The last one I bought was made by Ion and was much larger, but I think this one sounds WAY better and just looks and feels like quality. The Ion just felt cheap and it died just after the warranty period (of course) It wouldn’t power up anymore even when plugged into a wall outlet. The light show is killer in this if you’re out by the pool at night. I almost forgot to mention, this thing is very lightweight, so easy to carry around. It’s a winner.

Highs Muddled (XL)
As much as I wanted to love the new Klipsch party speakers, there are better options. I purchased this with the JBL Encore Essential (which you can pick up for fifty bucks less right now), and the JBL won, hands down. Even the heft and finishes of the JBL are superior. Both speakers are approximately equally loud. However, the JBL had boomier and punchier bass, with twice the number of boost options (2 vs 1) as the Klipsch. But the Klipsch really struggled with the highs with its one teeter - the smaller, doubled tweeters of the JBL are immensely cleaner and clearer. Long story short, as much as I wanted this speaker to be awesome, Klipsch leaves a lot to be desired here compared to JBL.

How much you like it, will depend on how much you paid.
Its just ok. I have a Klipsch the One, and I would say its slightly worse than that. So I guess it just depends on how much you paid. I paid, $58 with tax and shipping from Amazon, so I think its worth $60. BUT, I would have been said if I paid full price. Full disclosure, I've had a lot of Klipsch and other decent audio over the years so I'm a slight snob. That said, again for the money, it has a mic and battery (battery means its consumable trash) but makes for easy portable set up, its fine.
