El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar a Santurce desde los recursos disponibles en el Archivo de Arquitectura y Construcción de la Universidad de Puerto Rico (AACUPR) que permite otear de forma novel y establecer un contrapunteo entre las diferencias y similitudes encontradas a través del paso del tiempo. Las colecciones en el AACUPR muestran el rápido desarrollo urbano de Santurce, y también sus transformaciones, como un sector vivo y plasmado de interacciones de todas las clases sociales que lo habitaban. También echaremos una mirada al desplazamiento de sus moradores con los nuevos desarrollos.Es imposible documentar en este trabajo la gran cantidad de construcciones a lo largo del tramo entre puentes y de más de 100 años de recorrido. Las fuentes principales de la investigación son las siguientes colecciones: Amaral y Morales, Antonin Nechodoma, Benigno Trueba, de Castro y Hardesty, del Valle Zeno, Eugenio Látimer, Federico Calaf, Frank Molther, Henry Klumb, Leon Krier, Mapas Históricos, Martínez y Lázaro, Moscioni, Pedro A. de Castro, Pedro Méndez, Rafael Carmoega, Ramón Gandía Córdova, Raúl Gayá, Toro y Ferrer, Teatros Llamas, Thomas Marvel y William Biscombe.
