Organic Kingsland Garlic is a reliable softneck garlic variety valued for its smooth flavor, strong yields, and excellent storage qualities. With mild heat and a balanced garlic taste, this variety is a versatile kitchen staple—perfect for slicing, mincing, or roasting whole. Its adaptable nature makes it a favorite among both novice and experienced growers.

This garlic produces uniform, attractive bulbs with tight white wrappers and numerous cloves, often ranging from 10 to 15 per bulb. Kingsland Garlic is known for its long shelf life, often storing well into the next season without compromising texture or flavor. As a softneck type, it does not produce scapes, which allows it to focus its energy on bulb development.

Kingsland seed garlic thrives in a range of climates, particularly in warmer regions, and prefers well-drained, fertile soil for optimal growth. This dependable variety matures early and offers consistent performance season after season. Whether grown for culinary use or pantry storage, this garlic delivers on all fronts. With its mellow flavor, generous clove count, and long-lasting bulbs, it’s an essential addition to any garlic garden.

Flavor and Aroma Profile

Flavor Profile: This garlic features a mild, well-balanced flavor that is less pungent than many hardneck varieties. As a softneck garlic, it offers a smooth, mellow garlic taste that becomes subtly sweet when roasted. This makes it ideal for raw or lightly cooked dishes where a gentler garlic presence is desired—perfect for salad dressings, aioli, or baked into bread.

Aroma Profile: It emits a clean, delicate garlic aroma when crushed or chopped. During cooking, the scent develops into a subtle warmth that enhances rather than overwhelms a dish. Its refined aroma profile is well-suited to Mediterranean cuisine, cream-based sauces, and recipes where garlic should support rather than dominate.

Storage and Preservation

How to Store Fresh Garlic

Once harvested in early to midsummer, it's important to let the green stems dry completely and turn brown to ensure the garlic cures properly. Hang the softneck bulbs in a well-ventilated, cool, and dry area to promote curing, which helps preserve both flavor and nutritional quality. With proper storage, this type of garlic keeps well for several months and is ideal for use in both raw dishes and roasted recipes.

Preserving Garlic for Long-Term Use

To ensure long-lasting freshness, harvest this garlic variety when the foliage has dried and the bulbs are mature. Cure the bulbs in a well-aerated, dry space to maintain their flavor and firm cloves. This softneck variety is well-suited to a wide range of recipes—from roasted meals to homemade dressings—and stays flavorful for many months in storage.

Best Practices for Drying and Freezing

Freezing garlic after it has been properly cured is an effective way to extend its shelf life while maintaining its taste and texture. Garlic can be frozen in various forms to suit your needs—whether as whole bulbs, peeled or unpeeled cloves, or even minced. Although it's possible to freeze garlic right after harvesting, doing so without curing is usually discouraged. The high moisture content in fresh, uncured garlic can result in a soft or mushy consistency once thawed, and the flavor may not be as rich.

The best chew, play and teeth cleaning toy
Size: Blue
I have a 24 lb medium australian labradoodle multigen. She loves to chew and nothing soothed her teething like this toy. It also cleans the adult teeth that came in. So win win. The squeakers didn't last but that was my fault for squeaking it to tire her out in play. We personally love this toy and will purchase it again when it wears out. So thanks for a great product. 😉

Not indestructible, but pretty close!
Size: Yellow, Size: Yellow
I adopted a pit mix a little over a month ago, and so far he's managed to destroy every single toy he's had, including ones meant for aggressive chewers. He's a sucker for a good squeaky toy, and this had good reviews (and was affordable) so I decided to check it out. He's had his corn for a week now, and surprisingly, it's still holding up pretty well - though there are some caveats to that. My boy didn't even want to wait for me to take his corn out of the plastic bag, he too excited to get it. He went to town immediately, to the point where he was sitting in a puddle of his own drool after about an hour. He managed to squeak it (which I couldn't do myself), but still hasn't really gotten the hang of doing so - and the squeaker, when wet, does sound a little... Well, wet. He managed to have bite marks in it within the first six hours. Within a day, there were tiny bits of yellow rubber starting to appear anywhere that he played with this toy. A week later and there are some decent sized chunks missing from the corn - some of which I've had to cut off when they got loose and I worried about him choking on them. He loves his corn cob, and will likely get at least a few more weeks of play out of it before I have to toss it for his safety. I'm unsure of whether the squeaker is still functional, but he seems to love it whether or not it squeaks. Overall, it's not a bad toy for most aggressive chewers, but it will not last forever. The rubber is as heavy as the regular red Kong toys, but it feels slightly softer, which might contribute to his ability to break off little pieces. Make sure you keep an eye on your dog with this toy, or with any other, especially if they are chew goblins. But I'd definitely buy this toy again.

Solid piece
Size: Yellow
Border Collie loves it. Great for aggressive chewers. Prefers this to the carrot or the pineapple one. Probably better for large dogs than my medium size dog as there is some heft to it.

Probably indestructible since your dog won't want to play with it.

Boring yellow and rubber chew toy with a weird smell. My dog was not impressed.
