Year after year, spruces regenerate and rise, adding quiet rings of growth; this piece captures that slow magic of maturing trees and the hush of Christmastime when evergreens move from the wild into our homes.

Handcrafted in our New York studio in the French tradition of decoupage, the artwork is laid in reverse beneath crystal-clear glass, sealed with fine varnishes, and burnished until the needles seem to glow from within. Each tray is individually signed by Ben. Practical as it is charming, Ben’s signature glass decoupage is food safe and wipe-clean; the back is felted so it lands softly on marble or wood. It’s also suitable for hanging with a plate hanger or standing on a gallery easel, and arrives with a folded card explaining the time-honored process.

This tray brings the evergreen spirit indoors, whether on a mantel with candles, by the entry, corralling holiday keys and letters, or on a bar cart for seasonal cocktails. It reminds us that growth is patient, beauty is perennial, and the best traditions age gracefully.
