About the Artwork –

Step into a world of bold beauty and cultural celebration with “Azul,” a striking figurative portrait that commands attention. This powerful piece of African artwork explores the strength, pride, and individuality of Black womanhood, making it a must-have for lovers of Afro art and contemporary culture.

A Bold Celebration of Afro Punk Culture

“Azul” captures the fearless spirit of Afro Punk—a vibrant subculture that fuses Afrocentric heritage with rebellious punk aesthetics. At the heart of the piece is a stunning Black woman crowned with a shimmering blue afro, a radiant symbol of cultural pride and natural beauty. Shades of aqua, turquoise, and pink swirl together to create a captivating visual energy that draws the viewer in.

Jedidah’s dynamic brushstrokes and rich textures bring this artwork to life. Each curl of the afro is rendered with expressive precision, making the hair a focal point and a statement of resilience. The mixed media details—paint, fabric, and embellishment—add depth and tactility, evoking the richness of traditional African craftsmanship in a contemporary form.

Afro Art That Defies Convention

“Azul” goes beyond surface beauty to make a powerful statement. The subject’s nose piercing, styled as a safety pin, adds an edgy punk influence—boldly defying societal norms and asserting self-expression. Neon pink earrings pop against the cooler tones of the hair, while a soft pink flower balances the look with femininity and grace. These layered elements reflect the duality of softness and strength, rebellion and pride.

This art print is a love letter to natural Afro hair—its texture, its power, and its underappreciated beauty. By showcasing it as a central motif, Jedidah invites viewers to reflect on identity, heritage, and the stories we carry through our appearance.

A Statement Piece for Every Space

Whether you’re decorating a creative studio, modern apartment, or soulful reading nook, “Azul” is a bold statement of identity and empowerment. Its rich colors and thoughtful symbolism make it a compelling conversation starter and an inspiring visual presence.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things
Format: Kindle
I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.
