The Franco dictatorship is in its last days and the tension on the streets is difficult to contain. During a student protest, Alma's bookstore is attacked and burned to the ground. Believed to be one of the protesters, Alma is arrested and taken into custody by Juárez, an officer in the regime's repressive police force. Their paths cross with two of the demonstrators, Alejandro and Alicia; Mario, an international photographer who documents the volatile events; and Nando and Luisa, booksellers from very different backgrounds joined by a desire for justice and freedom. In a country with an uncertain future, where change seems inevitable, these characters come together in the type of unlikely friendship that can only be forged in history's darkest moments. In this impressive debut, Sergio Bang tells a masterful and moving story of diversity and struggle in which bookstores serve as places of refuge and community, and literature becomes a powerful weapon to change the world.

Elegant & Surprisingly Comfortable Heels 👠
Size: 9, Color: Brown, Size: 9, Color: Brown
These strappy nude heels are absolutely gorgeous in person! The minimalist design makes them super versatile — I’ve worn them with dresses, jeans, and even formal outfits. The nude color helps elongate the legs, and the thin straps give such a classy, elegant look. I was honestly surprised by how comfortable they were for stilettos. The ankle strap keeps the foot secure, so I didn’t feel like I was constantly slipping around while walking. The heel height is definitely high, but they’re manageable for dinners, parties, weddings, or a night out. They also look much more expensive than they are. Great quality for the price, and they instantly elevate any outfit. Definitely a pair of heels to add to your closet!!

Good value for the money.
Size: 9.5 Wide, Color: Beige
Comfortable right out of the box. Great style and well made. The more you wear the softer they get but maintain their overall appearance.
