You also have to remember that this balance is strictly non-refundable and cannot be used to buy other gift cards. Overall this is still a great method for organizing online spending and maximizing your cash-back credit card rewards. It totally fixed how I track household purchases but you definitely have to tolerate the occasional processing delays. My best advice is to load your account a day or two before you actually need to buy a big-ticket item. It works perfectly as a budgeting tool as long as you know the rules and plan for the random security hold.

First thing to note is that this is easy to use. Select whatever amount you want, how often you want it (one time, a specific date, etc), and then click buy and confirm the payment method. I normally only have to wait a few minutes for the process to go through and get the funds added to my balance. I like using this option for the very rare times I order something that I'm not sure I'll end up keeping, such as buying shoes or other clothing. Items that say they're the same size might not fit correctly for some reason and I'll have to return it.
