The Eurofighter aircraft is a multi-role jet fighter developed by the Eurofighter GmbH Consortium consisting of the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and Spain. It was introduced into service in 2003 and is used by several countries around the world.
The Eurofighter F2000 Typhoon is capable of supersonic speeds and is highly maneuverable. This single-seat aircraft is equipped with advanced radar and electronic systems and has the ability to detect, track and engage air and ground targets with the help of carried missile weapons and bombs.
The maximum speed of the Eurofighter is approximately 2,495 km/h and the operational range is 2,900 km. The Eurofighter F2000 Typhoon is widely used for defense tasks, airspace patrolling, combating air and ground targets and supporting ground force operations. It is recognized as one of the most modern fighters in the world and is a key element of European air defense. Italy has purchased 96 EUROFIGHTER® F2000 TYPHOON fighters, which were delivered between 2004 and 2020. Together with twenty F-35 fighters they are the backbone of the Italian Air Force!
