Beneath pearl is a delicate arrangement of green plique a jour enamel holly leaves, that allow light to pass through like tiny stained glass windows.

This exceptional Art Nouveau pendant-brooch is a testament to the era’s mastery of nature-inspired design and unparalleled craftsmanship. At its heart lies a luminous natural blister pearl, crowned by a sparkling European-cut diamond, and encircled by a glimmering border of graduated rose-cut diamonds. Beneath pearl is a delicate arrangement of green plique-a-jour enamel holly leaves, that allow light to pass through like tiny stained-glass windows. 

Masterfully hand fabricated in 18 karat gold with a time earned patina, the softly flowing frame embodies the artistic spirit of the Art Nouveau movement. Thoughtful in its design, the brooch features a removable pin, allowing it to transition seamlessly into a pendant.

My interpretation of this jewel is that it represents a stylized crowned heart embraced by holly leaves- suggesting a love that is pure and steadfast. The crowned heart suggests devotion and enduring loyalty, while the evergreen holly evokes resilience. Together, they symbolize a bond that flourishes with the strength of nature, enduring even through life’s coldest winters. Circa 1900, this antique treasure remains a timeless celebration of love, nature, and artistry.

Notes: The plique-a-jour shows a few fine hairline cracks which are stable and typical of antique plique-a-jour pieces. The stem portion of the bottom right leaf has one very small loss to the enamel. Deficient one rose cut diamond at the base. These imperfections do not detract from the overall beauty of the piece. This pendant is paired with an antique 14k gold chain with two modern spring rings so it can be worn as a necklace.

I struggled for a long time trying to remove the plastic oil filter cap on my Chrysler. I almost broke it a couple of times using the wrong tool. My friend told me to buy this socket.
