The Trout Spey reel features Sage's proven One Revolution Sealed Carbon System drag — one of the smoothest and most reliable drag systems in the industry — while encompassing a full frame design that assures thin running lines do not migrate between the spool and frame during dynamic casting motions. The machined and anodized aluminum One Revolution Drag Knob with 20 numbers and 40 detented settings delivers precise repeatable drag adjustment in a single rotation giving you complete control over every fish you hook.
Similarly styled to the Sage Spey Reel the Trout Spey features a larger width for increased shooting head capacity and greater weight to help better balance Trout Spey rods. The large arbor design with concave ported construction delivers fast line pickup and greater strength and capacity while the minimal porting keeps the classic aesthetic look and heavier balance that defines the Modern Classics collection.
Available in two sizes to cover the full range of Trout Spey applications. The 1/2/3 is perfectly suited to ultra light Trout Spey applications or the angler looking for a lighter weight solution for their 3 weight. The 3/4/5 offers a heavier solution for the 3 weight or a nice match to a 4 weight or 5 weight Trout Spey rod. Every Sage Trout Spey Reel comes packaged with a neoprene and embroidered ballistic nylon reel case.
