This is the DIY kit used for the FREE workshop - Fabric Cartonnage week (that happened in June 2020). Make your own fabric projects with NO-SEW using cartonnage technique. It is so fun and it makes a unique handmade gift! This is a great notepad cover that you will make out of paperboard, fabric and glue with this lovely craft!! And your pieces will be sturdy as wood, but made with your favorite fabric!
This DIY cartonnage Kit comes with all cardboard pieces you need to make your own notepad cover, as shown in the pictures. Fabric IS NOT included, use your favorite fat quarters! The pieces of paper (chipboard and poster board) are precut in the right sizes you need for this project. The finished cover will be 8 1/2" x 6" x 3/4" (closed). No worries about cutting paper! Fabric, elastic and other contents showed in pictures are not included. Notepad 8" x 5" IS included.
ONLINE INSTRUCTIONS AVAILABLE: Online color picture instruction included. The color picture instruction is a very clear PDF tutorial (eBook) with lots of pictures showing in details step by step to guide you through the whole process (it is not video, it's eBook), no steps missing, no guessing! Inside the kit you will find the password and easy directions to go to download the instruction to your computer.
For making the cover you will need this kit, two coordinating fabrics (1 fat quarter each), white PVA glue (Glue All from Elmer's), rotary cutter, cutting board, a small paint roller with tray, paint brush, masking tape, scissors. Elastic and hole punch are optional.
Cartonnage tools (spatula, acrylic spacers and corner tool) will give you a better finishing for your project, and you can find them in the tools section of the shop.
