6g Citrulline, 4g Beta-Alanine, and a smarter 350mg stim system

Norse Fitness Berserkr Frenzy is a strong-stim pre-workout that puts performance first. It starts with solid doses for pumps and endurance, then adds a layered energy and focus system instead of just dumping in a ton of caffeine. Lots of pres give you a buzz, but this one actually helps make your whole workout better. The main players are 6,000mg L-citrulline, 4,000mg beta-alanine, and 2,000mg GlycerSize™ glycerol powder, backed by brain boosters, mushroom support for performance, and caffeine that hits in phases.

That 6g L-citrulline is right in the sweet spot from workout studies. Citrulline beats straight arginine for boosting arginine levels because it skips heavy breakdown in the gut and gets converted in the kidneys. This ramps up nitric oxide, which widens blood vessels for better flow, nutrient delivery, and that full pump you feel in a good session. It also helps clear out ammonia buildup, so you don't get that worn-out, toxic feel in longer workouts.

The 4g beta-alanine is a winner too. Studies back 3.2-6.4g per day, and this tops the usual 3.2g mark. It builds up carnosine in your muscles, which fights off the hydrogen ions that cause burning during intense efforts. This isn't just for show—it helps you push through repeated sets or intervals that last one to ten minutes, like hypertrophy work or compound lifts.

GlycerSize™ at 2g hits the effective range for keeping you hydrated with glycerol. Glycerol pulls in water like an osmolyte—pair it with plenty of fluids, and it helps hold onto that water for fuller muscles and better

Norse Berserkr Frenzy by Norse Fitness contains 120mg Choline (as L-Alpha Glycerylphosphorylcholine), a standard dose for training performance and pump.

Key Highlights

  • 6,000mg L-Citrulline — this is a real dose that works, not just something to make the label look good. Citrulline boosts arginine levels better than taking arginine directly, cranking up nitric oxide for wider blood vessels, better flow, and the kind of pump and performance you don't get from skimpy 3g versions.
  • 4,000mg Beta-Alanine — that's more than the standard 3.2g from studies on building carnosine. It matters because beta-alanine loads up muscle carnosine over time, which fights the acid buildup that tires you out during those one- to ten-minute bursts of hard work.
  • 2,000mg GlycerSize™ — this patented glycerol powder has 65% glycerol. Drink it with enough water, and it helps pull in fluids for hyperhydration and fuller muscles, teaming up with citrulline to boost the pump through volume instead of just nitric oxide.
  • 1,000mg L-Tyrosine — a solid amount to support focus under stress in a pre. Tyrosine helps make dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine, keeping your head in the game when training starts wearing on your mental edge.
  • 600mg CognatiQ® — a legit addition if you want better mental game, not just a buzz. This whole coffee fruit extract can quickly boost BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor) and sharpen executive function, leading to tighter focus and better workout flow.
  • 300mg enXtra® — the exact dose from studies on this non-stim wakefulness booster. Research shows it keeps you alert and attentive for hours without mimicking caffeine, making it a great match for the formula's two-phase stim setup.
  • 350mg total caffeine from two forms — 300mg anhydrous for quick energy and 50mg zümXR® for longer release. This gives you a smoother ride than pres that blast you with one big hit and leave you dragging mid-workout.
  • 2mg alpha yohimbine from Rauwolfia — a strong stim kicker for folks who want an intense pre. It ramps up that urgent feel and workout drive, but yeah, this isn't for newbies.

Norse Berserkr Frenzy by Norse Fitness contains 120mg Choline (as L-Alpha Glycerylphosphorylcholine), a standard dose for training performance and pump.

Who Is This For?

  • Seasoned hypertrophy lifters hitting 60-90 minute sessions who want the whole workout to stay strong. That 6g citrulline, 2g glycerol, and 4g beta-alanine combo boosts pumps, capacity, and fatigue fight for high-volume training.
  • Powerbuilders needing hype for heavy sets without losing form on lighter stuff. Fast and extended caffeine drives early intensity, while tyrosine, choline, CognatiQ®, and enXtra® keep your head sharp through accessories.
  • Cross-trainers doing intervals, circuits, sleds, and weights together. Beta-alanine shines here—studies show it best for one- to ten-minute efforts where acid buildup limits you.
  • Lifters who value mind-muscle link as much as energy. This isn't just caffeine overload; Alpha-GPC choline, CognatiQ®, and tyrosine support focus and drive when training gets grindy.
  • Folks who love a visible pump and full muscle feel. Citrulline ramps nitric oxide, GlycerSize™ adds hydration—covering vascular and volume for better pumps.
  • People who've moved past basic pres and don't feel 150-200mg caffeine anymore. 350mg total plus alpha yohimbine is for those who know their limits and want more punch.

How to Use

Take Berserkr Frenzy 20-30 minutes pre-workout so caffeine, tyrosine, and nootropics kick in before heavy stuff. Newbies start with 1 scoop to check tolerance—the 350mg caffeine plus 2mg alpha yohimbine can be a lot. Stim pros can try 2 scoops after seeing how 1 feels. Shake well in 12-20 ounces cold water; more water tastes better and fits the 2g GlycerSize™, since glycerol needs fluids to shine. Empty stomach or light meal gives cleanest hit; heavy fatty food can slow it down. Don't casually add energy drinks, burners, or extra caffeine, and watch if you use nicotine too. Team with daily creatine and good hydration for max gains. No cycling needed for pump or endurance parts, but stim breaks help tolerance. Store sealed in cool, dry spot—glycerol can clump if wet.

What to Expect

Minutes 0-10: mixes like your usual pre powder, and on a light stomach, you start feeling more alert soon. Minutes 10-20: fast caffeine kicks in, beta-alanine might tingle, and things feel more urgent. Minutes 20-40: this is prime time—focus sharpens, energy peaks, and citrulline-glycerol pump shows up as you get moving. Minutes 40-90: you should still feel good thanks to zümXR® and enXtra® keeping it steady, not just fast caffeine. Days 1-7: stims, focus, and pump hit strongest while beta-alanine loads. Weeks 2-4: carnosine builds, so hard efforts feel easier to repeat, and you dial in your perfect scoop based on tolerance.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much caffeine is in Norse Fitness Berserkr Frenzy?

At the full formula profile provided, Berserkr Frenzy contains 300mg caffeine anhydrous plus 50mg zümXR® extended-release caffeine for a total of 350mg caffeine. The anhydrous portion hits faster, while zümXR® is there to stretch the energy curve so the session feels more sustained.

Is the 6g L-citrulline dose actually clinical?

Yes. L-citrulline is most commonly studied in the 6,000-8,000mg range for exercise performance and nitric oxide support, so the 6g dose here lands at the clinical threshold. That is a meaningful difference from formulas using 3-4g, which often underdeliver on pump and blood-flow effects.

Why does Berserkr Frenzy use both regular and extended-release caffeine?

The 300mg caffeine anhydrous provides fast onset and immediate workout urgency, while the 50mg zümXR® extended-release caffeine is designed to keep energy from dropping off too quickly later in the session. This is a more performance-oriented approach than relying on one large dose of fast caffeine alone.

Will this pre-workout make me tingle?

Very likely, especially if you are sensitive to beta-alanine. Berserkr Frenzy includes 4,000mg beta-alanine, which is well within the range known to produce paresthesia, the harmless tingling or prickling sensation many users notice after taking a pre-workout.

Is Berserkr Frenzy good for pump-focused training or is it mostly a stim product?

It is both, but it is stronger than average on the pump side for a high-stim pre. The combination of 6g L-citrulline and 2g GlycerSize™ means the formula supports nitric oxide-driven blood flow and fluid-driven muscle fullness, not just stimulation.

How strong is the focus support in this formula?

Stronger than most basic pre-workouts. You get 1g L-tyrosine, Alpha-GPC-derived choline, 600mg CognatiQ®, and 300mg enXtra®, which creates a more complete concentration stack than formulas that rely on caffeine alone for perceived focus.

Are all ingredients fully disclosed?

Most of the major performance ingredients are clearly disclosed with doses, which is a major positive. The exception is the mushroom complex, where Cordyceps, Reishi, King Trumpet, Shiitake, Lion’s Mane, and Turkey Tail are listed without individual disclosed amounts.

Should beginners use 2 scoops right away?

No. Because this formula combines 350mg total caffeine with alpha yohimbine, new users should start with 1 scoop to evaluate tolerance. Moving straight to the maximum serving is unnecessary unless you already know you handle aggressive stim formulas well.

Can I stack Berserkr Frenzy with creatine?

Yes, and that is one of the best stacks for this formula. Berserkr Frenzy covers pumps, stimulation, and beta-alanine loading, while standalone creatine monohydrate adds phosphocreatine support for ATP regeneration and complements high-intensity performance well.

When should I avoid taking Berserkr Frenzy?

Avoid it late in the day if you are sensitive to sleep disruption, because the formula includes 350mg total caffeine and uses an extended-release form specifically designed to last longer. It should also be avoided if you are stimulant-sensitive, pregnant or nursing, under 18, or dealing with cardiovascular contraindications.

A bewitching retelling of Arthurian legend!
Format: Kindle
In a land where the Fae have nearly become only a legend and those who still posses even a morsel of the blood are few and far between, Morgan finds herself cast aside by most of society due to her rumored half-Fae lineage, including her brother, King Arthur. With the kingdom at the brink of war, Arthur entrusts her with a quest to retrieve a Fae weapon of legendary power: the sword of Perun, Excalibur. Accompanied by men she loathes, Captain Kairos Draven and Ragnar Whitehorn, she embarks on her long and unbeknownst perilous journey, only to find that things she once believed to be myth are in fact very real. With devastating twists, omitted truths, witty banter and fierce action, Queen of Roses leaves you begging to know more about the secrets of Aercanum! Wow, wow, wow! Going into this story, I did not realize that it was going to be a retelling of Arthurian legend, especially not one with a fantastical twist! The unique spin almost gave me The Witcher vibes and I think adding Fae into the mix was quite interesting. I knew the basics of the legend but after reading this book, it has piqued my interest and makes me want to learn more about it. My attention was snatched as soon as I finished the prologue and I knew that I was going to devour this story. I truly enjoyed the gender swaps and even how Arthur was portrayed as villainous. Morgan’s past and even her parts of her present is absolutely heartbreaking, and I felt for her at times. I can only recall one other book that made me hate characters the way I despised Florian and Arthur, leaving me with my blood boiling and feeling disgusted. Even after finishing the book, Draven is still a mystery to me and I cannot figure out how to feel about him. I guess they just means that the author did an excellent job at conveying each character’s persona! The rich world building and imagery made it easy for me to visualize the places that the group visited along their journey. I am truly engulfed in this story and I cannot wait to see wait fate awaits Morgan and how the Fae will be even more incorporated in the next book!. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Enchanting
Format: Kindle
"Queen of Roses" by Briar Boleyn is a delightful and refreshing reimagining of the classic tale of King Arthur, with a captivating twist that places the spotlight on Morgan, a character who has often been overshadowed in traditional retellings. Boleyn's creative decision to shift the narrative perspective to Morgan breathes new life into the story, offering readers an intriguing and compelling look at the Arthurian world from an entirely different angle. One of the most commendable aspects of this book is its incorporation of Fae elements, which adds an enchanting layer of magic and mystery to the already familiar Arthurian setting. Boleyn skillfully weaves the world of the Fae into the narrative, creating a captivating backdrop against which the events of the story unfold. This addition not only adds depth to the world-building but also provides ample opportunities for twists and turns that keep readers thoroughly engrossed. However, while the book boasts numerous strengths, it does have one noticeable flaw: the characterization of Morgan. While it is reasonable to create a flawed and complex protagonist, it appears that at times, Morgan's character becomes overly difficult and hard to relate to. Her persistently negative perception of one of the main male characters, who is a potential love interest, despite his efforts to support and assist her, may come across as somewhat irrational and could test the patience of some readers. Striking a balance between a strong, independent character and one who can recognize genuine support and affection could have enhanced the overall reader experience. Nonetheless, the allure of "Queen of Roses" lies in its innovative approach to the Arthurian legend and its skillful blending of fantasy elements into a familiar narrative. Boleyn's evocative prose draws readers into a world where magic, destiny, and fate entwine, leaving us eager to uncover the mysteries that unfold within the pages. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

An action-packed dark romantasy
Format: Kindle
I loved this book! Queen of Roses is an Arthurian-inspired dark romantasy that is the first book in the Blood of Fae series. The story follows Morgan, the princess of Camelot who is rumored to be part fae. Fueled by prejudiced hatred and a mistrust of fae blood, Morgan’s abusive father strips her of her birthright and hands it to her half-brother, Arthur. Instead of becoming queen, Morgan is commanded to join the temple of the goddesses when she comes of age. However, Arthur turns into a psychopathic, power-hungry, fae-hating king as he ages. He develops malevolent plans and commands Morgan to find an ancient weapon with legendary power. Although Morgan is wary of Arthur’s intentions, she embraces the opportunity to go on a journey and potentially change her fate. The story picks up from there and we follow Morgan on her quest to find the ancient relic. It’s full of high stakes adventure, mystery, tension, banter, forced proximity, hidden magic, self discovery, and betrayal. This first installment of the series intricately develops the world building and character development. There’s little romance in this book, but it is evident that it is a slow burn that will continue to develop throughout the remainder of the series. Overall, I loved the world building, the epic fantasy, Morgan’s journey of self discovery, and all of the twists and turns that set the stage for the future installments. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Arthurian Fae Quest…say less.
Format: Kindle
A fae centered Arthurian tale unlike any I’ve read so far. The author did a great job at descriptive world building, with scenes easily playing out in my minds eye. There was plenty of action, suspense, and even a touch of horror. An enemies to lovers, slow burn romance, a quest, with plot twist and turns aplenty. There was a love triangle, which I’m not usually a fan of but, it played out well in this story line. The FMC, Morgan Pendragon, was so blatantly naïve, yet I typically expect as much in a ‘book one’ of a series, especially one that features a fairly sheltered princess. I was happy to read that in spite of this, she still showed a strong sense of morals, fire, and spine. Now our MMC? Kairos Draven, aka Void’s Edge. Oh, how I’m a sucker for a smoking’ hot grumpy warrior alpha with a witty mouth, and a strong sense of “touch her and die” attitude, so you know who held all my cards. That ending? Just made me swoon all the harder. Now add a battlecat that rivals the size of a horse…and well Ms. Briar Boleyn you have well and truly stolen my heart. I’m excited to see where the story goes from here, and follow along to see more of the characters growth. I went into this story fairly blind, and I think I enjoyed it all the more because of it. Once the story got going, it had me in an absolute chokehold and it was difficult to put down.

Not a bad start
Format: Kindle
3 stars Thank you Netgalley and Briar Boleyn for the ARC! A camelot/king Arthur retelling with fae. I was hooked by the idea of this book immediately and was eager to jump into this world. • slow burn • enemies to lovers • who did this to you Morgan Pendragon watched her mother die by her father's hand when she was just eight years old, hiding under the bed. Morgan is believed to have the tainted blood of the fae in her veins and is cast aside so that her fathers illegitimate son, Arthur, can become the king. She's seen his cruel treatment of the fae firsthand, so when he sends her on a journey to find a fae weapon she seizes the opportunity to do more with her life. Along the way, she finds more than she could have imagined. I don't know a whole lot about King Arthur and Camelot but I had a lot of fun with this story! The plot has some similar tropes to popular romantasy books (From blood and ash) but there's enough originality here that it doesn't feel like I'm reading a copy. I liked how the fae were different in appearance than what is typical in most fantasy books I've read. In this book they have blue hair, violet skin and a wide range of other characteristics. I thought that the world building was easy to follow and I could easily immerse myself into this world. After reading the blurb I kept wondering when she was going to go on the journey to find Excalibur and it doesn't happen until around the 45% mark. The story is a bit slow at times but starts to pick up once they begin their journey to find Excalibur. The John Wick style Inn was a fun concept that I enjoyed reading about. There are a lot of similarities to this and FBAA and I would have liked to have it be a little more different, but I'm hoping book two will have the story turn into something of its own. Overall I enjoyed reading this story and I'm looking forward to reading book two especially after that ending.
