Reem Shamieh, the youngest of five siblings, was born and raised in Lebanon, where her vibrant spirit and love for life were evident from an early age. Born with Down syndrome, Reem has never let her condition define her. Instead, she has embraced her uniqueness, excelling in everything from sports to music, cooking, and now, art.

Reem’s story is one of determination, joy, and endless potential. She has represented Lebanon in the Special Olympics, winning medals in multiple sports, and has since found a new passion in painting. After relocating to the UAE in 2017, her artistic talent blossomed, leading to her first major public recognition in 2021, when her artwork was sold at a charity auction in Dubai.
