Археологія Слобідської України. Archeology Of Slobid Ukraine

Ця робота під назвою 'Археологія Слобідської України' була датована 11 грудня 1923 року. Вона складається з двох розділів. У першому наводиться загальна характеристика всіх видів і типів археологічних пам’яток і подано їх приклади, відомі на території Слобожанщини. Другий розділ присвячено виключно кам’яній добі. О. С. Федоровський доволі докладно описує різні техніки обробки каменю, починаючи з палеоліту й закінчуючи неолітичною добою включно. При цьому вчений наводить всі відомі йому знахідки пам’яток кам’яної доби в досліджуваному ним регіоні та перелічує ті, що були виявлені під час його досліджень. До того ж, харківський археолог подає аналогії до інших пам’яток України, а в окремих випадках й Азії та Африки.

Ця праця О. С. Федоровського не була видана друком. Однак його напрацювання з першого розділу стали основою для написання інших робіт, що були опубліковані. Зокрема, свідоцтва про види й типи археологічних пам’яток стали складовою праці вченого 'Інструкції та програми для розвідок і реєстрації пам’яток археологічних' (1927 р.). Дані про майдани стали основою для написання великої статті про цей вид пам’яток ('Майдани Харківщини та майданові теорії', 1930 р.).

Видання буде цікавим не лише археологам, а й краєзнавцям і всім, хто цікавиться давнім минулим Слобожанщини.
