In 2025, Temple Bar Gallery + Studios commissions Brian Fay, TBG+S Studio Artist 2023–2025, to produce a new limited edition tote bag. The artwork Head of Petrus Christus Girl (2005) traces the slow physical cracking-like movement over centuries across the surface of the painting Portrait of a Young Girl (c. 1470) by Petrus Christus. On the reverse is the slogan ‘Art is for everybody’, redesigned in 2025 by Alex Synge of The First 47.

The words ‘Art is for everybody’ have been adapted from the essay ‘The Alte Frau’ by Zadie Smith. Smith references John Berger’s Ways of Seeing where a case is made that art is for everybody, a belief which TBG+S stands by.

Brian Fay is an Irish artist living in Dublin. He uses different drawing strategies to depict and present models of time and temporality using pre-existing artefacts, objects and artworks to examine our own complex relationship to time. Recent exhibitions a national touring survey show at Highlanes Gallery, Drogheda, Limerick City Gallery of Art and Uillinn West Cork Arts Centre (2023). His work is in the collections of National Gallery of Ireland, Arts Council, Crawford Art Gallery, and OPW.
