This garment is a sample used by the agency that used to distribute Stone Island in the U.K., FourMarketing. Sample jackets are exactly the same as the production version aside from they don’t have the Editorale label on the inside of the garment. Jacket is BNWT but no spare buttons or dust cover.
This garment is an exact re-edition of a piece from the first collection in 1982, created in a faithful replica of Tela Stella, the fabric on which Stone Island was founded. Tela Stella was born out of the study of the technical and functional characteristics of military truck tarpaulins. It is a cotton canvas impregnated on both sides with special pigmented resin in contrasting colours. The finished garment then undergoes an extended enzyme wash in order to give it a faded look and to break down the density of the material. The result is a windproof garment that has an air of old oilskins corroded by the sea, which, at the same time, has a marked military feel. I
The buttons used for this piece are original from the period, rediscovered in the Stone Island warehouse at Ravarino.
This piece features the 30th anniversary special edition badge.

Easy to handle, hard to crimp.

This cable is easy to manage (bend, etc) because it has an aluminum core. But for that same reason it is harder to effectively crimp, even with a hydraulic crisper.
