About This Class

Lace knitting has a reputation for being difficult, but at its heart, lace is simply a combination of increases and decreases arranged to create beautiful openwork patterns. “Once you understand the building blocks, an entirely new world of knitting possibilities opens up.” This class demystifies lace and helps you build the skills needed to approach lace patterns with confidence.

What We’ll Cover

We’ll begin by exploring the difference between lace knitting and knitting lace — two terms often used interchangeably but describing different types of fabric. Then we’ll break down the essential techniques that form the foundation of nearly every lace pattern.

  • The difference between lace knitting and knitting lace
  • How yarn overs create decorative openings
  • Common decrease techniques and how they shape lace motifs
  • Recognizing stitch patterns and visual cues in your knitting
  • Reading written lace instructions
  • Understanding and following lace charts
  • Tips for keeping your place and avoiding common mistakes
  • Using lifelines and other tools to increase confidence

Students will practice a variety of basic lace motifs while learning how lace patterns are constructed and how to “read” the fabric as they knit.

Great product
Color: 1-Black
Fits perfectly with iPad 11” (A16). It also holds the pencil really well. The case is a little heavy but protects the iPad perfectly.

The quality of the case is beautiful. For the money it’s exceptional- The closure is easy to open but stays closed when it is supposed to ! I was also pleased to see it had a spot for a stylus. I love the vibrant blue color .

It’s a great value
Color: Black
My son is very happy with this iPad case. It fits perfectly, provides great protection against scratches and minor drops, and feels durable and well-made. The stand feature is very convenient for watching videos, reading, or working. It also has a sleek design and doesn’t add much extra weight to the device.

Great case for iPad
Color: Black
I saw a similar Zugu case for my iPad and almost bought it, but it looked like my iPad might not fit, so I hunted and found this VIKESI case, which cost about 1/3 as much as the Zugu. It's close to perfect. My iPad fits perfectly, and the almost infinite number of angles that it permits, along with magnets to hold it in place make it ideal for working on a desk or in my lap. The only minor downside is that it's on the heavy side, probably because of the magnets. But unless you're travelling with it (I've switched to a small Fire tablet for travel), that won't be an issue. Highly recommended.
