Why You'll Love It

The Elyra Marquise Bezel Engagement Ring is the most dramatic solitaire in our collection — a 1.00 ct marquise cut lab-grown diamond held in a full bezel setting that wraps the stone completely in solid 14K gold. The marquise cut's elongated eye shape is the most visually striking of all diamond silhouettes: its two pointed tips and curved sides create a form that is simultaneously ancient and unmistakably modern. The bezel frames that form with a smooth, continuous gold border that protects both tips completely while amplifying the stone's extraordinary length. The slim, high-polish band disappears on the finger, leaving only the diamond — long, luminous, and commanding.

Why Marquise Cut?

The marquise cut was created for Louis XV of France, who commissioned a diamond cut to mirror the shape of the lips of his mistress, the Marquise de Pompadour. It is the most historically romantic of all diamond shapes — and the most visually elongating. A 1ct marquise appears significantly larger than a 1ct round brilliant because its elongated form covers more finger surface area. In a bezel setting, the marquise's two pointed tips — the most vulnerable part of the stone — are completely protected by the continuous gold border, making the Elyra as durable as it is dramatic.

Why Bezel?

The bezel setting is the most protective setting in fine jewelry — the diamond is completely surrounded by a rim of gold, eliminating the risk of prong snags or stone loss. For a marquise cut specifically, the bezel protects both pointed tips with a continuous gold border, making it the ideal setting for this shape. It is the setting of choice for active wearers, minimalist aesthetics, and anyone who wants their engagement ring to look as beautiful in ten years as it does today.

Our Story

In our Queens atelier, the Elyra was designed around the marquise cut's defining quality: its length. Every design decision was made to honor that length — the slim band that doesn't compete with the stone, the low-profile bezel that keeps the diamond close to the hand, the mirror-bright finish that reflects light back into the stone from below. Named for the constellation Lyra — the harp of Orpheus, the most beautiful instrument in mythology — the Elyra is a ring that makes music on the hand.

Styling & Stacking

The Elyra's elongated silhouette is most powerful worn solo — it commands the finger completely and needs no accompaniment. If stacking, pair with an ultra-thin diamond eternity band in a matching metal, worn below the Elyra so the marquise's full length remains visible. In white gold, the marquise reads cool and architectural. In yellow gold, it takes on a warm, vintage-adjacent richness. In rose gold, it is romantic and deeply feminine — the warm metal amplifies the stone's fire beautifully.

Gold Star
Size: 1.3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
This cream is truly gentle and healing for a compromised skin barrier. I prefer this cream in the winter, when the weather is dry, and after procedures like microneedling or laser. It has never irritated my skin, and does soothe and heal. The La Roche Posay cicalfate cream is also excellent, I think it is slightly less rich, so I prefer that in humidity or the summer.

Overpriced but it works.
Size: 1.3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I hate that I love this product. It's stupid expensive. But it's great for broken/damaged/recovering skin. I've used it post microneedling and it is the only thing that soothes, hydrates, and doesn't sting raw, red skin. Great for rashes/hives and allergic reactions too. Luckily a thin layer is often enough to do the trick. so it lasts a long time I wouldn't use for everyday moisture, but when your skin is angry, this stuff works. (Overpriced? Yes. Witchcraft? Maybe. Does it work? Yep.)

Obsessed. Soothing, effective, fragrance-free, incredibly healing
Style: Tolerance Daily Foaming Facial Cleanser
I’ve been loving this so much I bought a second bottle after a few days of using it. It has all the skin soothing benefits of the tolerance lotion cleanser, but it’s also a really great cleanser. It’s almost not noticeable how good it is at cleansing because your skin doesn’t feel stripped after, but it takes things off really quickly. I was worried because it doesn’t foam a lot and it feels so nurturing — much like the tolerance lotion cleanser (which I use as a second cleanse when my skin needs a few days to recover from something like a derm office treatment) — but when I wash again with my favorite HG cleanser nothing extra comes off, and I tested it twice on waterproof eyeliner that I’d swiped on my forearm for an hour or so, the eyeliner dissolved and wiped off with two or three gentle swipes. It has a very emollient texture, so when you rub it against your skin it slips so easily you don’t realize it’s dissolving and taking things away because there is no friction. So it’s great at taking off makeup, it’s AMAZING at cleaning makeup brushes, and IT DOES NOT BURN MY EYES AT ALL. Also, it is FRAGRANCE-FREE… before I bought it I read a review complaining about smelling a citrus fragrance, that person either has some sort of brain tumor or something spilled on their bottle when it was in a warehouse because this is definitely a fragrance-free product. Prior to trying this, I had tried another cleanser that gave me weird acne hives all over my chest (never happened to me before) and I was struggling to heal the acne and the irritation. I noticed an immediate difference when I started using the tolerance cleanser on it; the fresh redness went away, the acne started healing, and the post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation has been healing fast. So I’ve been using this on my body as well and it’s soothing and moisturizing in all the places where other things have been drying. I have mild rosacea and I hadn’t realized how irritated my skin was from the last thing I’d tried until after 5 days or so of using this my skin tone looked much more even and the stubborn PIH I have from a two-zit hormonal breakout a month ago finally looked dramatically lighter (as recently as the week before, I’d needed to cover them with high-coverage concealer). Because this doesn’t foam much, some people might not realize how well it’s cleaning… I encourage you to judge it based on how your skin looks and feels. Since it is very emollient though, I do think it’s important to use it with a face wash scrubber or washcloth just to ensure you’re getting some mild mechanical exfoliation and clearing away skin cells that could be trapping stuff in your pores. For this reason, I do wash my face with this twice so the first wash can get off makeup/debris/oil and then the second wash can really penetrate and clean my skin.

No Scent and Gentle
Style: Tolerance Daily Foaming Facial Cleanser
I broke out in a case of Perioral Dermatitis recently and bought this product to help before I could see my doctor. Avene Tolerance facial cleanser has no scent and is very gentle on my skin. It didn’t burn when washing with this product, and even helped to slough off the dead skin around my lips. My face feels clean, not dry. I am still going to see my doc to get an RX for the inflammation, but I do believe this product helped to alleviate the dryness and tightness of my skin and lips. I’ve used other Avene products and I’m very happy with them. Even though these products are more expensive, to me they are well worth the money because they are much more gentle on the skin than any other products I’ve used. I will buy this product again just because of the fact that it’s so gentle. PS: at the time of purchase for this product, I also bought Avene’s Tolerance Control Skin Recovery Cream (you don’t need to use a lot of this one on your entire face), and Avene’s Cicalfate for lips. Between these 3 products, my lips and skin feel a lot better (however, I will still see my doctor because I have Crohn’s Disease and Perioral Dermatitis is considered an extra-intestinal side effect of Crohn’s).
