Ascher cut emerald set in a .34 CTW octagon baguette diamond halo - 14k white gold 

This emerald has no treatment - totally natural!  The emerald was acquired directly from a mine in Lake Manyara, Tanzania.  The mining takes place through cooperation with a nearby village, where the village elder has taken on the role as the mining manager and 6 of the villagers are doing the mining.  The villagers get a salary regardless of production and the mine organization receives as very substantial share of the final sales price of any and all sold stones.  None of the emeralds are oiled or treated in any way.  They are expertly faceted under fair conditions in Sri Lanka.  It is our understanding that even though small, this was one of the best emeralds to come from the mine.

At least they are sterile
These are funny being advertised as dermaplane because they are packaged as scalpels. The 5 scalpels are individually wrapped, and labeled sterile. As the price indicates, they are on the cheap side. Which is fine, they work, but they aren’t terribly sharp so you have to scrape a bit harder than preferred. For dermaplaning I prefer the schick ones as they have tiny serrations which cut the hair better than anything else I have found so far.

I was really disappointed in this. It did not remove all of the peach fuzz completely and I dermaplaned twice back to back. Which tells me the blades aren’t as sharp as they’re made out to be. The blade handle was sturdy and seemed to be made of good quality. But the blades themselves are horrible at cutting and aren’t razor sharp. I personally wouldn’t purchase this if I were you. I’ll keep the blade handle, but I will definitely be purchasing different blades.
